Health & Safety Practices in Place

  • Implementing CDC and NCDHHS guidelines for early childcare providers
  • Disinfecting high-touch toys, classroom surfaces, common areas, and playgrounds throughout the day
  • Daily professional cleaning and sanitizing services
  • Daily laundering of soft toys, crib/cot sheets, and blankets
  • Temperature checks for students and staff upon arrival, along with screening questions to identify illness risk factors for illness
  • External student drop-off and pick-up
  • Touchless parent check-in and check-out
  • Outside individuals are not allowed inside the building
  • Required masks for parents, teachers, and staff
  • Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocol
  • Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratio
  • Continuous health and safety training for staff, including first aid and CPR certification
  • Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access
