Health & Safety
Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
- Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
- Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
- Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
- Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
- Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
- Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
- Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
- Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access

Ms. Alana
I’m Ms. Alana, and I’d like to tell you a little about myself! I attended Indiana State University, where I studied Elementary Education. I taught first grade for four years and have also worked in child care. I have lived in the Boone County area since I was six years old. I have two sisters, one brother, and a cat named Leia—I’m a huge Star Wars fan! In my free time, I enjoy reading, crafting, traveling, photography, and teaching classes at my church.
Child Care/Teaching Experience: 4 years teaching 1st grade, 1 year in an infant/toddler room, many years of babysitting/nannying.
Education: Indiana State University

Ms. Alex
I’m Ms. Alex, and I’d like to tell you a little about myself. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Utah State University. I grew up in the small town of Logan, Utah, and my husband and I are excited to begin this new chapter of our lives here in Indiana. I have a passion for teaching children and am thrilled for the opportunity to be part of your child’s learning journey. In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, coloring, and watching movies.
Child Care/Teaching Experience: Student taught kindergarten and first grade.
Education: Bachelor’s in Elementary Education
