Our Infant Classroom

We know the first year of life can have a big influence on a child’s success in the years that follow. That’s why teachers in your child’s Infant classroom provide a loving and nurturing environment as they lay the foundation for learning. This includes literacy; communication and vocabulary skills to help your infant better express their needs; gross motor skills and sensory development; and emotional well-being.

Health & Safety

Their health & safety. Our top priority.

Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

  • Requiring any children or staff with fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
  • Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
  • Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
  • Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
  • Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants
  • Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
  • Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
  • Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access
  • Monthly emergency drills so children and staff are prepared for emergencies

As the Young Infant Teacher of Primrose School of South Baton Rouge, I’m excited to bring my two years of childcare experience to help my young students thrive! I love working with young children and seeing them learn new skills and try new experiences. With my background in Early Childhood Education, I love creating a fun, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment where my students and I can learn and grow together.

My Primrose journey has been filled with a community of incredible people who support one another and strive to make a difference in the lives of our young students.

When I’m not at school, you can find me spending time with my pets and friends—whether that’s playing games or going on a walk around my neighborhood. I’m excited to continue learning and growing alongside all the wonderful teachers here!

Hello! My name is Shynicer Perry, and I am an Older Infant Teacher at Primrose. I am passionate about supporting young children during one of the most important stages of their development. I strive to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where infants feel comfortable exploring, learning, and growing each day.

Working with older infants is especially rewarding, as I get to witness important milestones such as crawling, communicating, and discovering the world around them. I believe every child deserves patience, encouragement, and individualized attention as they develop their unique personalities.

My goal each day is to ensure that every child in my care feels safe, loved, and supported. I am committed to building strong, positive relationships with both children and their families.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and continuing to grow in my faith. I bring that same positivity, care, and dedication into the classroom every day.

Hello! My name is Arianna Brown, and I am a full-time student at Louisiana State University studying Early Childhood Education. My goal is to one day own my own daycare and create a place where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. I have always had a big heart for kids, especially because I am the oldest child and grandchild in a large family, so I have spent a lot of time helping watch over and care for younger children.

Being a bitty ball coach also made me even more passionate about working with kids. I loved encouraging them, helping them build confidence, and watching their personalities shine as they learned new things.

Those experiences showed me that working with children is something that truly comes naturally to me, and it is a big part of why I care so much about making a positive impact on their lives.

Outside of school, I enjoy basketball, watching movies, and spending time with my friends.

Our family would love to meet yours.
