Welcome to the Primrose School of North Shore – Danvers. We are the proud owners, Kristen TenBroek and Danielle Rodrigues. Kristen and her husband Trampas have three daughters (Dylan, Ella and Mia) and Danielle and her husband Pedro have a son and a daughter (Maxx and Madelyn). Kristen and Danielle know firsthand the balance between working and parenthood as well as the difficult decision it can be to entrust your child in the care of others.
We started this journey looking for something we could do together and are passionate about. Once we learned of the Primrose Mission to forge a path that leads to a brighter future for all children, we knew this aligned with our own vision and values.
Kristen has been a Registered Nurse for 15 years and has been working in Early Intervention and a developmental day school for the last 5 years. I have been able to be on both sides of the door. The parent leaving their child and the person who is ensuring that child is safe, nurtured, and happy. I am excited to create that space for your family so you can go to work, or about your day, assured that your children are in the most qualified hands with teachers and staff that will treat them like their own. In my free time I love to run and spend time with family and friends.
Danielle has been a Physical Therapist for the past 20 years, starting in a public school district prior to transitioning to home care, working hand in hand with patients and their families across the lifespan (youngest patient was 5 days old and oldest was 103!). As my children entered elementary school, I became very involved as a parent leader for Destination Imagination Teams, a student-lead STEAM challenge program that sparked my interest in wanting to be more involved in childhood education. In my spare time I can be found on a sports field cheering on Maxx and Madelyn in soccer, basketball, track, lacrosse or flag football as well as training for Triathlons!
Our previous career experience in healthcare has prepared us to provide the safest possible environment for your children. We truly believe in the Primrose statement “who children become is as important as what they know”. We are so excited to bring the Primrose curriculum and culture to the North Shore and look forward to you joining our Primrose Family!
Frequently Asked Questions
Are all staff members background-checked and CPR/first-aid certified?
Yes. Every Primrose staff member undergoes a thorough background check before joining our school. All staff are also CPR and first–aid certified, so you can feel confident your child is in safe, prepared hands every day.
What curriculum or educational philosophy do you follow?
Our school uses the proprietary Primrose Schools Balanced Learning® curriculum, which is research-informed and designed to nurture the whole child — intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically. We believe in balancing teacher-guided learning with purposeful play to build a strong foundation for the future.
How do you support school readiness and the transition to kindergarten?
All of our programs are designed in age-appropriate ways to prepare children for kindergarten and beyond. We focus on early literacy and numeracy as well as social-emotional skill development — so children arrive at kindergarten confident and ready to thrive. 96% of Primrose Schools Pre-K students met ASQ benchmarks for problem solving.*
What are your hours of operation?
We are open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am-5:30 pm.
How do you keep parents informed about their child's day?
Connecting school to home is one of the ways we help children thrive. We use the Procare app to share daily updates and photos so you stay connected to your child’s joy, learning and special moments
