Primrose School would love to meet your family.
Schedule A TourKaren and Mike Verlardi are the very proud owners of the Primrose School of North Scottsdale. Their 3 children (Nichole, Michael, and Danielle) are the primary reason that Karen and Mike decided to open a Primrose. Their endeavor began when searching in the Scottsdale area for quality childcare for their first child - this is where they realized that their high standards would make it difficult to be satisfied with the typical daycare establishment. Their desire to find the best care for their own children quickly developed into a passion to provide both an educational and nurturing environment for children of the community, as well as peace of mind for parents just like themselves. After they found Primrose, they knew it was a perfect partnership. Their philosophies about the importance of family balance and child security and happiness were a complete match and Primrose had the reputation and experience to help the Verlardis deliver this to the local community. After searching for years within the Scottsdale area for the perfect site, in 2015 the opportunity for the North Scottsdale location came into view. "We are excited to bring to fruition, our long held dream of opening a Primrose School in Scottsdale. The community has wanted an outstanding early childhood education program for years, and we are thrilled to finally make this a reality. We look forward to being able to offer a high quality educational based preschool to the families of Scottsdale, and are anxious to develop relationships with children and their parents who desire first-rate child care." Originally from New Jersey, Mike and Karen Verlardi have been residents of the valley since 1998. After graduating from Montclair State University and marrying - they decided to move to the west coast to further their consulting and sales careers. Karen holds an MBA from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, is a member of the American Business Women's Association, and has held corporate positions in systems and product development for more than 14 years. In 2008 they opened the Primrose School at Palm Valley in Goodyear and in 2014 took over ownership of the Primrose School of East Mesa.
We are conveniently located on E Bell Road, right down the street from the Scottsdale Fire Department and Trail Head Preserve. Unlike an ordinary daycare in Scottsdale, we provide your child with a robust early education and child care experience.

Gardening in the Primrose Patch!
Our Balanced Learning® approach weaves in character development and life skills into daily learning experiences because we believe who children become is as important as what they know.
Our students worked tirelessly collecting non-perishable food items to share with children in need at the local food bank. Our Pre-Kindergarten 2 class collected over 200 items alone, winning our contest for a movie party!! Thank you to everyone who helped.
To better meet the individual needs of every child, we’re proud to implement Ages & Stages Questionnaires® (ASQ®-3 and ASQ®:SE-2) in Primrose schools across the country.
Students, families, teachers and staff at our school donated 372 food items through our Caring and Giving Food Drive!
Our new exclusive Harmony & Heart® program integrates our proprietary music and books in a variety of thoughtful ways each day. Through learning about music, while simultaneously being exposed to concepts in math, language, and character development, your child will grow as a musician, a student, and a person.
Each Primrose school is held to high standards of safety and cleanliness while maintaining a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
Our Preschool Pathways class created this under the sea art project as part of their "Living Things" curriculum.
There’s no question that parents want their preschoolers to grasp the basics of colors, numbers and letters to foster a lifetime of learning.
It might seem odd to think about your preschooler exploring data analysis and algebra.
Toddler circle time is fun!
It's a fact: children learn better when they are engaged. That's why purposeful play and nurturing guidance from teachers are key components of Balanced Learning. See how this time-tested approach with a strong emphasis on life skills and character development can help your child develop and excel.
