Hi, I’m Ms. Lea, and I get to spend my days surrounded by curious, creative, and energetic kids at Primrose School of North Potomac. I started working in childcare back in college in Pennsylvania, and over the years I’ve had the chance to grow into leadership roles, teach in Montgomery County Public Schools, and return to my childcare roots as a center director here in Maryland.
We believe who children become is as important as what they learn, and I’m here to make sure every child feels seen, supported, and inspired as they grow. Education is always evolving, and I’m committed to being a lifelong learner—just like the children in my care!

Infant Team
Every baby is unique, and our Infants Team embraces that from day one. With more than 25 years of combined experience, they thoughtfully balance individualized care with meaningful learning by following each infant’s personal schedule while weaving in the experiences of our Balanced Learning® curriculum. Through music, movement, art, baby sign language, sensory exploration, and plenty of one-on-one interactions, every day is filled with opportunities to grow.
Above all, this team’s greatest strength is patience. They understand that development isn’t rushed—it happens one milestone, one smile, and one discovery at a time. By taking the time to truly know each child, they build trusting relationships that help our youngest learners feel safe, loved, and ready to explore the world around them
Toddler Team
Our Toddlers Team has mastered the art of turning curiosity into meaningful learning. Their calm, engaging approach encourages children to explore confidently while providing just the right amount of guidance to transform everyday moments into exciting discoveries. Early Preschool Team
If there’s music playing, chances are our Early Preschool Team is already dancing! Their enthusiasm is contagious, filling each day with movement, laughter, and joyful learning. Whether they’re hosting an impromptu dance party or taking story time outdoors, they know that children learn best when they’re actively engaged.
Nature is one of this team’s favorite classrooms. They encourage children to notice the world around them—from watching birds soar overhead to examining feathers, bugs, leaves, and the changing seasons. Their energy is perfectly balanced by genuine empathy, especially as children take big steps toward independence through potty training. Every accomplishment is celebrated, every setback is met with encouragement, and every child is supported at their own pace.
Preschool Team
Our Preschool Team has a remarkable gift for truly knowing each child. They celebrate growing independence while recognizing when a reassuring hug, a few encouraging words, or a gentle reminder is exactly what’s needed. By taking the time to understand each child’s unique personality, interests, and cues, they create an environment where children feel both confident and deeply cared for.
Creativity flourishes in this classroom. Rather than focusing on perfect finished products, our teachers embrace process art, encouraging children to experiment, imagine, and express themselves freely. Every masterpiece tells a story, and every child is given the freedom to create one that’s entirely their own.
Pre-K Team
Kindergarten is just around the corner, and our Pre-K Team is dedicated to helping every child arrive ready for the adventure ahead. As knowledgeable guides, they thoughtfully implement our Balanced Learning® curriculum while encouraging children to think independently, solve problems, ask questions, and take ownership of their learning. Their classrooms are filled not with constant instruction, but with meaningful conversations led by curious young minds.

I welcome you to my second school, Primrose School of North Potomac! My husband, Mrugesh, and I are proud parents of two amazing children. We deeply believe in the importance of early childhood education and are thrilled to bring the Primrose experience to families in the North Potomac area.
After the success of our first school in the Silver Spring area, I am excited to expand our impact by opening my second Primrose location in North Potomac. Bringing high-quality early childhood education to even more families has been a dream come true, and I look forward to continuing to serve our community with passion and dedication.
My journey with Primrose began after completing my bachelor’s degree and spending the past two decades in the business world. I knew I wanted to do something that not only utilized my experience but also allowed me to give back to my community in a meaningful way. Finding Primrose was the perfect opportunity to combine my passion for education with my background in business, making a lasting impact on children and families. After my husband and I had our children, we were surprised by the lack of premier early childhood education options in the area. Research shows that the first few years of a child’s life are crucial, they shape a child’s health, growth, learning, character, and ultimately their happiness. Finding a premier option that provided both high-quality education and care was critical to us. Realizing that other families must have felt the same way, I began researching and soon discovered Primrose Schools. I immediately knew it was the perfect fit.
