Let’s get to know each other.
I’m Ms. Mya and I wanted to tell you a little about myself.
I’m from Dallas, TX and have experience babysitting, including caring for my own siblings, which has helped me build a strong foundation in working with children. I’m currently in my first year at Collin Community College, where I’m continuing to grow both personally and professionally. My favorite part about working with children is brightening their days and making sure they’re happy, engaged, and enjoying their time at school. Franchise Owners
Mr. Sheldon and Dr. Shelley Connell
Experienced. Determined. Family-Oriented. Meet Sheldon & Shelley Connell.
We’re Sheldon and Shelley Connell, and we’re delighted to share our story with you.
We both grew up on the East Coast—Sheldon in New York and Shelley in Maryland—but Texas has truly become home. Shelley earned her master’s and doctoral degrees in education and science, which opened the door to a variety of roles including laboratory scientist, classroom teacher, entrepreneur, program coordinator, and book author. Sheldon holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees in business and spent nearly three decades with Verizon in several executive leadership positions, each with increasing responsibility.
In 2014, we settled our family here in Flower Mound, where we’ve happily embraced the Texas sunshine with our two children, Jordynn and Sheldon (SJ).
Our Primrose journey began soon after moving to the area. Like many new parents, we eagerly toured preschools and initially enrolled Jordynn in a school we thought would be a good fit—but it wasn’t. She was unhappy, and we felt it. A few weeks later, we toured a local Primrose, and everything changed. Jordynn was joyful, engaged, and thriving day after day. Shelley quickly fell in love with the Balanced Learning® curriculum and the meaningful partnership we built with Jordynn’s teachers. Primrose gave us the tools and confidence to support her learning at home while celebrating her growth in the classroom.
Our greatest joys are our children.
• Jordy loves making smoothies, spending time with friends, and embracing her passion for learning.
• SJ is a huge soccer fan! He also enjoys swimming, traveling, playing with friends and family, and simply being active together.
As a family, we love serving our community and our church, catching movies together, and enjoying our shared love of all things Disney.
We wholeheartedly believe in the Primrose philosophy, core values, and approach to early childhood education. We are committed to creating a warm, supportive, and nurturing environment for every child, parent, and staff member who becomes part of our school family.
As the proud owners of Primrose School of NE Flower Mound, we are honored to welcome your family into ours.
Thank you for taking the Primrose journey with us. We look forward to growing together.
