We know the first year of life can have a big influence on a child’s success in the years that follow. That’s why teachers in your child’s Infant classroom provide a loving and nurturing environment as they lay the foundation for learning. This includes literacy; communication and vocabulary skills to help your infant better express their needs; gross motor skills and sensory development; and emotional well-being.

Health & Safety
Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
- Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
- Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
- Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
- Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
- Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
- Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
- Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
- Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access

Mrs. Arlita

Hello, my name is Ms. Arlita. I am a mother of three loving boys. I am originally from the Philippines, but I have been in Texas since 1998. I have been working with children since 2001, and have been working at Primrose School of Old Orchard since 2012. I love working at Primrose in the infant room because no 2 days are the same. Every day is unique and special. I love working with infants and their parents, helping them to adjust to parenthood, and their new home-away-from-home…Primrose! I can’t wait to learn more about you and your family!

I am originally from Garland, Texas and graduated with my high school diploma from Naaman Forest High School. Although this is my first professional childcare job, I have 3 years of hands-on experience as a mother to my son, Maverick! My role as a parent has helped me gain practical childcare experience while instilling a safe, structured environment. I look forward to building new relationships with my students and seeing how they learn, laugh, and grow each day.

I’m Sydney and I want to tell you a little about myself.
I am from Lewisville, Texas. I have assisted with children’s classes at a taekwondo studio. I also worked with infants at my church daycare. I have always loved the experience of working with kids and look forward to molding future generations. My favorite thing about children is how unpredictable they can be which makes it fun!
In my free time, I enjoy spending time at home with my husband and our cat. I also enjoy playing the violin!

I love working with children because of their sweet, funny, and curious personalities. Every day brings something new, and I enjoy seeing their excitement as they explore, learn, and grow. I hope to gain hands-on experience that will help me become a caring, skilled, and inspiring teacher one day.
