Health & Safety

Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access

Mrs. Hannah

Pre-Kindergarten Teacher

Mrs. Hannah is celebrating her 9th year working at Primrose and her 5th year teaching Pre-K. She graduated from Tennessee Tech University in 2017 with her Early Childhood Education degree. She has always had a passion for teaching and enjoys watching each and every one of her students grow and learn while in her class. They truly all have their own personalities and it’s so fun watching them all interact and become friends. She can’t wait to see what this new school year brings!

Mrs. Barbara

Substitute Teacher

Ms. Morgan is from O’Fallon, IL and is excited to be at Primrose Mt. Juliet. She has over 20 years of experience in child care, including as a Pre-K teacher and as a director for child education at a church. She believes in creating a welcoming environment for her students to help them grow and learn. On the weekends, Ms. Morgan enjoys hiking, camping, and antiquing.

Summer Trees

For project time, the Pre-Kindergarteners painted Summer trees! They looked at Vincent Van Gogh’s Mulberry Tree painting for inspiration and used some of the same colors he used.

Save the Planet

Our Pre-Kindergarten students enjoyed a three-day project where they created a mural centered around caring for the earth. They first worked together to brainstorm ideas for what they should include on the mural. We discussed the things that help our planet such as trees, water, clean air and animals.

Read Across America Week

Our Pre-Kindergarteners had a special treat for Read Across America Week! A musician, who is also a parent in our school, came and read the story, "Octopus Garden". Afterward, he played and sang the song for the students!

Science and Sensory

Our Pre-Kindergarten students are discovering how water moves when they scoop it with varies containers and objects in the classroom.

Small Group Literacy

During literacy, our pre-kindergarteners are working on their fine motor skills through writing. The students are listened to a story about arches and are coming up with describing words for all the arches they see!

STEM: Changing Shadows Inside

In Pre-Kindergarten, we were EXCITED to talk about how shadows can change! We used a flashlight to shine a light on our cutout of a paper person to observe how the light affects the shadow when held at different heights 🔦

Small Group Math: Baking Muffins

Teachers guided Pre-Kindergarteners to bake muffins. The glass discussed the steps needed to make muffins, learned different measurements of different ingredient before guiding the children in mixing and pouring the ingredients. The children enjoyed their muffins at the end of the day.

Small Group Literacy

During small group literacy in Pre-Kindergarten 1, we practiced letter "Aa". We began by going over the sound that the letter "A" makes and then all together we made a word list of words that start with letter "A". After that, we practiced writing upper and lower case on our letter recording sheet and completed a picture of something that starts with letter A!

Project Time

Our Pre-kindergarten students are analyzing different soil types. The students used their senses to observe the soil and finished by looking at it through a microscope!

Thumbs Up

Our pre-kindergarten students are learning how to roll objects other than a ball! The students are aiming their hula hoop at the goal.

Math Center

In the math center, pre-kindergarten students are sorting different rocks and earth materials into groups. They have to figure out which group has the most and which group has the least.

Small Group Literacy

During small group literacy, we went on a letter hunt! We took letters Mm, Rr, Ll, and Tt and used magnifying glasses to look through the book to find words that start with the letter of the child's choosing. We then practiced writing the letter on the whiteboards!
