Our Preschool Classroom
Your 3-year-old is opening up their world, developing special friendships, learning new words and forming new ideas every day. Through purposeful play, meaningful questions and direct instruction, our Preschool teachers encourage your child to think in new and different ways. Your child will have so much fun that they won’t even realize they’re developing the skills they’ll need for reading and math.

Tinu Joseph
I have dedicated my life to reimagining arts education and advocating for quality STEAM, reading, arts, and culture education programming. My professional journey has taken me through many roles—assistant director for a sleepaway camp, educator, drama teacher, and crisis coordinator—and today, I am proud to continue this work in the nonprofit sector.
I have developed STEAM programming for preschool through elementary-aged children and serve as the executive producer of the ICAP Show. In this role, I have had the honor of producing shows that feature guests whose work has appeared on HBO, PBS, Netflix, Hulu, Showtime, Starz, MOMA PS1, Schomburg Center, Storm King Arts Center, the James Beard Foundation, as well as Grammy, Oscar, and Peabody award–winning artists.
As a dedicated educator and passionate advocate for empowering students through hands-on learning, I am always seeking innovative ways to engage children and make learning meaningful and exciting. My approach fosters critical thinking, problem-solving, and curiosity—skills I believe are essential for every child’s growth.
Beyond my work locally, I have also created international reading and arts programming in Jamaica, West Indies, and I am proud to serve on the board of the Youth Orchestra of Essex County, NJ. In my free time, I love spending time with my husband and daughter.

Kimberly Jimenez

Cumanda Espinoza
Hi! My name is Cumanda and I am originally from Ecuador. I am very creative, enthusiastic, and hard-working and I believe these are vital characteristics to bring to a classroom. I have a fondness for children and believe that they can be taught vital and valuable life lessons during their time in preschool which will help them grow emotionally and mentally into mature young people. I’m extremely passionate about having a big input into a young person’s life and making a difference. I firmly believe that in order to become a great aide teacher, the desire to help and assist children should be there. The learning process can be tough and challenging, which is one of the things that I really love about this profession.
