Miss Ketanya
Hello, I’m Miss Ketanya!
I have over four years of experience working with infants and toddlers through both volunteer work and teaching. I truly enjoy interacting with children and learning from them each day. One of the most rewarding parts of working with young children is watching them grow, reach new milestones, and make meaningful progress.
In my free time, I enjoy reading and practicing my Spanish.
One of my favorite children’s books is Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? by Bill Martin Jr.

Miss Karen
Hi, I’m Miss Karen!
I’ve been working with children for over 10 years, and I truly love what I do! Every day is a new adventure because children are wonderfully unpredictable. I enjoy engaging them in fun and meaningful activities while watching them grow, learn, and discover new things.
I speak both English and Spanish, and outside of the classroom, I love spending time with my two daughters and my amazing husband.
One of my favorite children’s books is Don’t Push the Button! by Bill Cotter.

Miss Waheeda
Hi, I’m Miss Waheeda!
I’ve been a lead teacher for three years, and I truly enjoy helping children grow, learn, and discover the world around them. One of my favorite parts of teaching is creating fun, hands-on learning experiences, especially exciting science projects!
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy reading and spending time with my husband and our three cats, Ratzy, Coffee, and Zoe.

Hello, I’m Miss Genia, and I’m so excited to get to know you and your child! With nine years of experience in childcare, I’m passionate about creating a warm, nurturing, and welcoming environment where every child feels supported, valued, and encouraged to grow.
I’m a proud mother of four wonderful children and a grandmother to two amazing grandchildren. They inspire me every day and have given me an even deeper appreciation for the joy of watching children learn, grow, and discover the world around them.
In my free time, I enjoy working out, listening to music, and relaxing with a good Netflix movie.

Hello, I’m Miss Jackie!
I’ve been working with children since 2004, and I truly love discovering what makes each child unique. I enjoy their natural curiosity, enthusiasm, and excitement for learning, and watching them grow and progress is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work with children of all ages and abilities, including children with special needs and cerebral palsy. These experiences have helped me appreciate the importance of creating a caring, supportive, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
In my free time, I enjoy photography, reading, researching, traveling, and hair styling.
One of my favorite children’s books is The Crayons’ Book of Feelings by Drew Daywalt.

Miss Jennifer
Hi, I’m Miss Jen!
I’m the Pre-K 1 teacher here at Primrose School of Melville. One of my favorite things about working with children is seeing how excited they are to learn and discover something new each day.
I have experience working as an ABA teacher aide, substitute teacher, and preschool teacher. I love creating a fun, nurturing environment where children feel comfortable learning, exploring, and growing.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, spending time at the beach, and cheering on the Mets!
One of my favorite children’s book series is the Arthur books by Marc Brown.

Chef Deisy
Hi, I’m Chef Deisy!
One of my favorite parts of being a chef is seeing the students happy and enjoying the food I prepare for them. It brings me so much joy to be a part of their day and create meals they love!
One of my favorite children’s books is Guess How Much I Love You by Sam McBratney. It’s especially special to me because my son loves this book too.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors in nature, reading, and making special memories with my son. Those moments mean the world to me.

I am the lead teacher for our UPK program. I have been working with young children for three years, and I truly enjoy building strong, meaningful relationships with each child.
One of my favorite children’s books is The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle.
In my free time, I enjoy reading and spending quality time with my family.

Hi, I’m Miss Priya!
I’ve been working with preschoolers for over 12 years. My favorite part of working with children is watching them grow, become more independent, and explore the world around them. I love being part of their learning journey and seeing their personalities shine!
One of my favorite children’s books is I Love You Forever by Robert Munsch.
In my free time, I enjoy cooking, gardening, and going on walks.

Miss Amy
Hi! I’m Miss Amy!
I have been working with children for over 20 years, and I truly love what I do. My favorite part of working with children is helping to shape their minds and watching them grow and learn. I especially love seeing the excitement on their faces when they learn something new or understand a new concept.
My favorite children’s book is Harry the Dirty Dog by Gene Zion. In fact, my family loved the book so much that we named my childhood dog Harry after the character!
When I’m not at school, I enjoy baking, spending time with my family and friends, and trying new restaurants.
I’m so excited to be part of the Primrose School of Melville family and look forward to getting to know all of your little ones!
