Our Infant Classroom

We know the first year of life can have a big influence on a child’s success in the years that follow. That’s why teachers in your child’s Infant classroom provide a loving and nurturing environment as they lay the foundation for learning. This includes literacy; communication and vocabulary skills to help your infant better express their needs; gross motor skills and sensory development; and emotional well-being.

Let’s get to know each other.

Hi, I’m Miss Alishia! I’m excited to have joined the Primrose School of Mansell Road family bringing over 10 years of childcare experience working with multiple early childhood age groups. I was born and raised in Siekston, Missouri, and earned my Bachelor of Arts from Elizabeth City State University in North Carolina. I have always had a passion for working with young children and helping them learn, grow, and build confidence each day. When I’m not at school, I love spending time with my five beautiful children. In my free time I also enjoy decorating, listening to music, exploring art, and expressing my creativity through fashion. I’m so happy to be part of the Primrose community and look forward to building wonderful relationships with the children and families!

Infant Lead Teacher

Hi, I’m Ms. Orchid! I was born and raised in the Virgin Islands and moved to Georgia as a teenager. I joined the Primrose Mansell family in February 2022, and I’m so grateful to be part of such a wonderful community. My passion for caring for children began early on, as I often helped babysit my sister’s kids. Later, I worked as a camp counselor at the very camp I once attended—an experience that inspired me to pursue teaching. I am currently the Infant Lead Teacher and also help out in the afternoons with the Afterschool Program. I’m currently enrolled in school to earn my Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, and I’m excited to continue growing in this field. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy dancing, chatting, eating, hiking, and spending quality time with my loved ones. I’m excited to get to know your family and to help your child learn and grow each day!
