Marla Jenkins began her journey with Primrose Schools in 2002, driven by a passion to create a nurturing and supportive educational environment. Having seen the remarkable growth and development of her own sons within the Primrose framework, Marla was inspired to pursue a leadership role to further contribute to the mission of providing high-quality early childhood education. This path led her to become a business partner with Erin Stewart, where she could expand her impact and commitment to shaping the future of young learners.

Marla is deeply dedicated to the exceptional care and education offered by Primrose Schools. She firmly believes in the effectiveness of the Balanced Learning Curriculum, which offers a comprehensive approach to early childhood education, ensuring that children develop in a well-rounded manner. When asked why she chose to be a part of Primrose, Marla passionately shared, “I truly believe in the quality of our Balanced Learning Curriculum for Early Education, as it lays the foundation for a child’s success in school and in life.”

My name is Leticia Lopez, and I have been a proud member of the Primrose of Las Colinas family since 2003. In March 2018, I was honored to join the Leadership Team as Assistant Director, furthering my dedication to providing exceptional early childhood education and supporting the community at Primrose Schools.

My journey in early childhood education began in 2003, and from the very start, I was captivated by the Primrose curriculum and the welcoming, family-oriented atmosphere it creates. This sense of community was so impactful that I chose to enroll my three daughters at Primrose, knowing that they would thrive in an environment focused on nurturing development and balanced learning.

With a strong passion for organization and a keen attention to detail, I bring valuable skills and leadership experience to my role as Assistant Director. I am deeply committed to collaborating with families, children, and staff, and I am excited to continue my work within the Leadership Team to ensure the Primrose experience is enriching and beneficial for all involved.

By fostering a strong, supportive community, I am dedicated to enhancing the overall experience at Primrose of Las Colinas and ensuring the highest standards of care and education are always upheld.

My name is Stephanie Tobias, and I have proudly been part of the Primrose of Las Colinas family since 2014. Initially, I worked as a Lead Teacher in the Preschool classroom, where I had the privilege of shaping young minds and fostering a love for learning. In 2022, I took a new step in my career by joining the Leadership Team as the Admissions Director.

In my current role, I truly enjoy the opportunity to meet new families and share the passion that has fueled my dedication to Primrose over the years. I believe that building strong relationships with families is key to creating a supportive community, and I strive to make every family feel welcomed and valued from their very first interaction.

One of the highlights of my day is seeing the children’s big smiles as they arrive at school. Their excitement is contagious, and it reaffirms my commitment to providing a nurturing and engaging environment. I am deeply passionate about creating a space where children can thrive, explore, and grow, while also ensuring that families feel connected and supported in their educational journey.

My name is Claudia Nix, and I am originally from Romania, where I proudly graduated from Transilvania University. For nearly a decade, I have been a dedicated member of the Primrose School of Las Colinas family, during which time I earned my Child Development Credentials. This educational background has provided me with a strong foundation to support the growth and development of young children.

In August 2023, I embraced the opportunity to join the Leadership Team as the Assistant Director. In this role, I am excited to contribute to our school’s mission and work collaboratively with our talented staff to create a nurturing and enriching environment for our students.

A key focus of my work is ensuring that we are well-prepared for any emergencies. I prioritize the safety of our children and staff, continually staying updated on best practices and implementing effective emergency response plans. I believe that a secure environment is essential for fostering a sense of trust and well-being among families and staff alike.

My name is Anisha Merchant, and I am originally from India. One of my favorite weekend activities is spending quality time with my family, as it allows us to bond and create lasting memories together.

I am passionate about teaching children about the world around them and currently serve as the Education Director. I work closely with each educator to provide ongoing training, support, and resources tailored to their individual needs. I am originally from Pakistan and moved to America at the age of 24 to start a new life. Now, I am happily married and a proud parent of four wonderful children. I hold a bachelor’s degree from Pakistan and have specialized credentials in child development. Despite these qualifications and experiences, I continue to learn and grow every day.

When I am not teaching at Primrose, I enjoy spending time with my family and cooking, gardening, traveling

I love my job because every day at Primrose brings something new. It truly feels like a second home to me. I take great joy in building relationships with our infants and their parents. What excites me most is being a part of each infant’s early months and watching them discover and learn something new every day.

I attended Eastfield and Brookhaven College where I earned my CDA. I have with with young children for over 40 yrs.

Erin Stewart and Marla Jenkins

Erin Stewart made the decision to open a Primrose in 2002 after her twin boys attended a Primrose School. She was so impressed by the level of care and education that her sons received and knew that was something she wanted to offer to other children. With her top priorities being safety and security, followed closely by the opportunity for a quality education that’s fun, Primrose was the perfect fit. She has since had a third child, a little girl, who has also graduated from Primrose School of Las Colinas. Erin knows that the school is only as strong as her teachers, which is why she values them so greatly. She encourages a team atmosphere, even sponsoring a staff soccer team. Erin and her family are committed to serving the community both through the Chamber of Commerce and through sponsorship of neighborhood programs such as The Taste of Hackberry. She is actively involved in the women’s club in her neighborhood and has served as chairperson for the Kids’ Taste of Hackberry since 2003.

Marla Jenkins began her journey at Primrose Schools in 2002. Having seen first hand how her sons thrived at Primrose Schools she pursued the leadership route and then on to becoming a business partner with Erin Stewart. She is passionate about the level of care and education that Primrose Schools has to offer. When asked why Primrose her response was “I truly believe in the quality of our Balanced Learning Curriculum for Early Education.” She also places extreme value into the entire team and getting to know each person and how they can bring something special to offer the school.
