Our Infant Classroom

We know the first year of life can have a big influence on a child’s success in the years that follow. That’s why teachers in your child’s Infant classroom provide a loving and nurturing environment as they lay the foundation for learning. This includes literacy; communication and vocabulary skills to help your infant better express their needs; gross motor skills and sensory development; and emotional well-being.

“Our School’s Commitment to Safety, Cleanliness, and Child Health”

At Primrose Las Colinas, we prioritize the health, safety, and well-being of every child by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and creating a caring, nurturing environment where children can thrive. Our comprehensive approach to health and safety includes:

  • Health Protocols for Illness Prevention: Children or staff exhibiting respiratory illness symptoms or a fever must return home and stay home until fever-free for at least 24 hours, ensuring a healthy environment for all.

  • Frequent Disinfection & Sanitizing: We implement regular cleaning and disinfecting of high-touch surfaces and toys, promoting a germ-free space for children.

  • Hand Hygiene Practices: Frequent handwashing by both children and staff is integrated into our daily curriculum and protocols, reinforcing good hygiene habits.

  • Teacher Training for Illness Recognition: Our staff is trained to recognize common signs of illness in children, with signage in every classroom to keep health top of mind for both staff and parents.

  • Safe Sleeping Practices: We ensure the health of infants with daily laundering of crib sheets, while older children are provided individual cots and blankets, cleaned weekly, to support proper rest.

  • Teacher-Student Ratios: We adhere to appropriate teacher-student ratios, ensuring individual attention and fostering a safe learning environment.

  • Ongoing Health & Safety Training: Our staff undergoes continuous health and safety training, including certifications in First Aid and CPR, to respond quickly and effectively to any emergencies.

  • Up-to-Date Safe School Plan: Our customized Safe School Plan is regularly updated and posted in every classroom for easy access, ensuring staff are always informed on the best health practices.

By implementing these strict protocols, Primrose Las Colinas ensures a safe, clean, and nurturing environment where children can develop, learn, and grow to their fullest potential.

My name is Ghazala Imran.

I am originally from Pakistan and moved to America at the age of 24 to start a new life. Now, I am happily married and a proud parent of four wonderful children. I hold a bachelor’s degree from Pakistan and have specialized credentials in child development. Despite these qualifications and experiences, I continue to learn and grow every day.

When I am not teaching at Primrose, I enjoy spending time with my family and cooking, gardening, traveling

I love my job because every day at Primrose brings something new. It truly feels like a second home to me. I take great joy in building relationships with our infants and their parents.
