Meagan Wise serves as Area Director of Primrose School of Gallatin and Primrose School of Hendersonville, bringing extensive experience in early childhood education, school leadership, and family support to both Primrose communities.

Meagan graduated from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Birth through Kindergarten Teacher Education as well as a Bachelor of Science in Family and Community Services. She joined the Primrose School of Hendersonville family in 2009 and has served as Director since 2010.

In her leadership role, Meagan oversees the educational programs, operations, staff development, and quality standards of both schools. She works closely with each school’s leadership and teaching teams to ensure children receive consistent, high-quality early learning experiences in nurturing, engaging, and safe environments.

A major part of that commitment is investing in well-prepared early childhood educators. All Primrose School of Gallatin and Primrose School of Hendersonville staff members are CPR, First Aid, and AED certified and complete comprehensive background checks. Before entering the classroom, new staff members also complete approximately 18 hours of Primrose training to prepare them for the curriculum, classroom expectations, safety procedures, and standards of care.

Professional development continues throughout each educator’s time with our schools. Staff complete a minimum of 30 professional development hours annually, as required by the Department of Education, helping our teachers continue to strengthen their knowledge of child development, classroom practices, safety, and early childhood education.

Our teams also participate in ongoing health and safety training, including Safe Sleep Practices, Child Abuse Awareness, Shaken Baby Syndrome Prevention, Allergy Management in the Classroom, and other important procedures designed to protect the health and well-being of every child in our care.

We also maintain food safety practices to help protect children with allergies. Foods containing peanuts or tree nuts are not permitted in our schools.

Under Meagan’s leadership, Primrose School of Gallatin and Primrose School of Hendersonville remain focused on what matters most: providing families with trusted child care and early education where children are known, nurtured, challenged, and encouraged to grow. From infant and toddler care through preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten, our goal is to create a strong partnership with families while providing children with a safe and meaningful foundation for future learning.

Kayla Ignatz serves as Director of Education for Primrose School of Gallatin and Primrose School of Hendersonville. She began her Primrose journey in 2012 as a Pre-Kindergarten teacher and joined the management team in 2016. Kayla holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and has a passion for helping children learn through creative, meaningful experiences.

As Area Director of Education, Kayla plays an integral role in implementing and supporting the proprietary Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum across both schools. She works closely with teachers and leadership to promote consistent, high-quality early childhood education and engaging learning experiences that support children academically, socially, and emotionally.

Kayla also supports teacher development, classroom practices, and curriculum implementation across our infant, toddler, preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten programs. Her goal is to help create classrooms where children build confidence, curiosity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Kayla lives in White House with her husband and their two daughters.

Priscilla Quiroz serves as School Director at Primrose School of Hendersonville. She joined the Primrose family in June 2024 as an Early Preschool Teacher and was quickly promoted into school leadership.

Priscilla holds an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Development and brings both classroom experience and a strong passion for supporting children, families, and educators. As School Director, she works closely with teachers and families to help ensure our classrooms provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive through the Primrose Balanced Learning® approach.

One of the things Priscilla values most about Primrose is being part of a team that genuinely cares for the children and families we serve while also supporting the teachers who make meaningful learning experiences possible each day.

Priscilla and her husband have two children, and their youngest attends Primrose, giving her the unique perspective of experiencing the school as both a parent and an early childhood education leader.

Alli holds an Associate of Science Degree in Paralegal Studies and brings six years of administrative experience along with three years of experience in the child care field. Her background, combined with her experience as a Primrose parent, gives her a unique perspective when helping families navigate their own child care and early education decisions.

As Director of Enrollment, Alli is often one of the first people prospective families meet. She guides parents through inquiries, school tours, and enrollment while helping them learn more about our infant, toddler, preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and after-school programs and the Primrose Balanced Learning® approach.

Alli loves getting to know new families, answering their questions, and helping them feel confident as they choose an early learning environment for their child. Primrose School of Hendersonville proudly welcomes families from Hendersonville, Indian Lake, Goodlettsville, Madison, Old Hickory, and surrounding Middle Tennessee communities. Alli looks forward to introducing families to our school and helping them begin their own Primrose journey.

Mr. Franklin serves as our Assistant Director of Education and Operations. He joined our Primrose family in 2021 as a Kindergarten Teacher and stepped into his current leadership role in July 2025. With experience in early childhood education dating back to 2015, Mr. Franklin brings a strong background in teaching, communication, and leadership to our school each day.

A native of Portland, Tennessee, Mr. Franklin holds a Master’s degree in Mass Communications, a background that shines through in the way he connects and communicates with children, families, and staff. He enjoys building relationships, supporting our teachers, and helping create a positive school experience for everyone.

Outside of Primrose, Mr. Franklin enjoys reading, playing video games, and basketball. His favorite food is cheesecake, and his favorite children’s book is A Boy Named Isamu. He most relates to Primrose Friend, Og the Bookworm, which is fitting for someone who enjoys reading and learning. What makes Mr. Franklin smile most? Seeing others happy!

Mrs. Staton has been caring for children since 1985 and has been a cherished member of the Primrose School of Hendersonville team since November 2014. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and serves in two important roles as both our bus driver and office assistant. She is also proud to work alongside her daughter, Alli Melton, our Director of Enrollment. Mrs. Staton is dedicated to creating a welcoming, caring environment for every child and family who walks through our doors.

Her favorite children’s book is Love You Forever by Robert Munsch, and she most relates to Erwin the Dog because she believes friendship is one of life’s greatest gifts. Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, she loves pizza, cupcakes, and just about anything chocolate. Outside of Primrose, her favorite role is being “Lolli” to her granddaughters, Ella and Abby, and her grandson, Walker. She treasures time spent with family and friends, and nothing makes her smile more than laughter, special moments together, and the unexpected hugs from the children at Primrose.

Ms. Capps has been working in early childhood education since 2016 and joined the Primrose School of Hendersonville team in May 2023. As an infant teacher, she is passionate about creating a nurturing, loving environment where babies feel safe, supported, and encouraged as they reach important developmental milestones. Originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, she enjoys building meaningful relationships with each child and their family.

Her favorite children’s book is Good Night, Gorilla, and she most relates to Molly the Cow because she values showing respect to others. In her free time, she enjoys drawing and loves a good egg roll. What makes her smile most is hearing the funny and unexpected things children say, making every day in the classroom a little brighter.

Ms. Valencourt has been working in early childhood education since 2019 and joined the Primrose School of Hendersonville team in January 2024. As an infant teacher, she is dedicated to providing a nurturing, loving environment where each baby feels safe, valued, and supported as they grow and reach new milestones. She is currently pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education, further strengthening her passion for helping young learners thrive. Originally from White House, Tennessee, she enjoys building strong relationships with children and their families.

Ms. Aben has been working in early childhood education since 2022 and joined the PSOH team in August 2025. As an infant teacher, she is committed to creating a warm, nurturing environment where babies feel safe, loved, and encouraged to grow. She is currently pursuing a degree in Psychology and enjoys using her knowledge to support the development of young children. Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, she loves building meaningful relationships with the children and families in her care.

Ms. Renner has been working in early childhood education since 2019 and joined the Primrose School of Hendersonville team in January 2026. As an infant teacher, she is passionate about creating a nurturing, loving environment where babies feel safe, supported, and encouraged as they reach important developmental milestones. She is currently pursuing a degree in Education and enjoys building meaningful relationships with each child and their family.

Her favorite children’s book is Pajama Time, and Easter is her favorite holiday. One of the traditions she looks forward to each year is watching Christmas Vacation with her family. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, playing games, and knitting. Her favorite thing about working with children is watching their personalities develop.

Ms. Hobbs has been working in early childhood education since 2019. As a Toddler Teacher, she enjoys helping young children build confidence, develop new skills, and discover their unique personalities in a caring and encouraging environment. She is passionate about supporting each child’s growth through meaningful relationships and engaging learning experiences.

Her favorite children’s book is A Hole in the Bottom of the Sea. Her favorite holiday is Halloween, and her favorite family tradition is opening gifts late on Christmas Eve. In her free time, she enjoys reading and watching movies. Her favorite thing about working with children is seeing all their different personalities and watching them grow.

Ms. Sumners has been working in early childhood education since 2015 and joined the Primrose School of Hendersonville team in January 2019. As a Young Toddler teacher, she loves helping children grow in their independence while creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom where they can explore and learn through everyday experiences. Originally from Hendersonville, Tennessee, she is dedicated to building strong relationships with both her students and their families.

Ms. Shaw has been working in early childhood education since 2016 and joined the Primrose School of Hendersonville team in May 2024. As a Toddler Teacher, she enjoys helping young children build confidence, develop new skills, and discover their unique personalities in a caring and encouraging environment. Originally from Hendersonville, Tennessee, she is passionate about supporting each child’s growth through meaningful relationships and engaging learning experiences.

Ms. Hammond, affectionately known as “Hammie,” has been working in early childhood education since 1999 and has been a beloved member of the Primrose School of Hendersonville family since April 2007. As a Toddler Teacher, she is known for the warmth, joy, and dedication she brings to her classroom each day. She holds a degree in Business Management from the University of Taruna Bakti in Jakarta, Indonesia, and loves helping children build confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning in a nurturing environment.

Originally from Jakarta, Indonesia, Ms. Hammond’s favorite children’s book is I Love You Through and Through by Bernadette Rossetti-Shustak. She most relates to Percy the Rooster because she believes courage helps children grow and try new things. In her free time, she enjoys reading and sharing Chinese food with family and friends. What makes her smile most is being surrounded by the children she teaches and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Ms. Justus has been working in early childhood education since 2025. As a Toddler Teacher, she enjoys helping young children build confidence, develop new skills, and discover their unique personalities in a caring and encouraging environment. She has an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education and is passionate about supporting each child’s growth through meaningful relationships and engaging learning experiences.

Mrs. Milligan, lovingly called “Millie,” has been working in early childhood education since 2010 and joined the Primrose School of Hendersonville team in August 2017. As an Early Preschool Teacher for our 2-year-olds, she brings creativity, imagination, and enthusiasm into the classroom each day. Having studied Elementary Education at Tennessee Tech University, she loves designing engaging learning experiences that encourage children to explore, create, and discover the world around them. Originally from Hendersonville, Tennessee, she is passionate about fostering a classroom where every child feels inspired to learn through play and hands-on experiences.

Her favorite children’s book is Alice in Wonderland by Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, and she most relates to Katie the Cat because she believes cooperation helps children build strong friendships and learn from one another. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, and pasta is one of her favorite meals. What brings her the greatest joy is spending time with her family, friends, and her daughter.

Mrs. Dove joined the Primrose School of Hendersonville team in September 2022. As an Early Preschool teacher, she loves creating an energetic, welcoming classroom where children are encouraged to explore, ask questions, and embrace the joy of learning. She enjoys helping young learners build confidence, friendships, and independence through meaningful everyday experiences.

Mrs. Burgdorf has been working in early childhood education since 2011 and joined the PSOH team in May 2022. As an Early Preschool Teacher, she is passionate about creating a caring and engaging classroom where young children feel supported as they grow, explore, and develop new skills. Originally from Virginia Beach, Virginia, she is currently pursuing a degree in Radiology while continuing her dedication to early childhood education.

Her favorite children’s book is Sit, Truman!, and she most relates to Primrose Friend, Benjamin the Bear because she believes generosity and kindness help children build meaningful relationships. In her free time, she enjoys painting, photography, and shopping, and sushi is one of her favorite foods. Ms. Turner joined the PSOH team in April 2025 and has been working in early childhood education since 2021. As an Early Preschool teacher, she loves creating an energetic, welcoming classroom where children are encouraged to explore, ask questions, and embrace the joy of learning. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, she enjoys helping young learners build confidence, friendships, and independence through meaningful everyday experiences.

Her favorite children’s book is The Legend of Rock, Paper, Scissors, a story that reflects her fun-loving personality and sense of humor. She most relates to Primrose Friend, Mia the Mouse because she believes in teaching children the importance of kindness, responsibility, and being good citizens. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys coloring, hiking, and finding the best Mexican food. Ms. Carmen joined the Primrose School of Hendersonville team in March 2025 and has been working in early childhood education since 2018. As a Preschool Pathways teacher, she enjoys helping children strengthen their confidence, independence, and school readiness while making learning fun and engaging. Originally from New Brunswick, New Jersey, she is currently pursuing her Aesthetician License and brings creativity, patience, and enthusiasm to her classroom each day.

Ms. Moss has dedicated her career to early childhood education since 1996 and became part of the Primrose School of Hendersonville family in August 2022. As a Preschool Teacher, she brings enthusiasm, experience, and a playful spirit to every school day. A Hendersonville native and University of Memphis alumna, she loves helping children learn through movement, creativity, and hands-on experiences. Her love of dancing shines through in the classroom, where she enjoys bringing energy and excitement to everyday learning.

Her favorite children’s book is The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and she most relates to Primrose Friend, Billy the Duck because she believes keeping promises is an important way to build trust and character. Outside of school, she enjoys dancing, treats herself to French fries whenever she can, and believes ice cream can brighten any day. Ms. Morrell has been working in early childhood education since 2019 and is currently pursuing her degree while continuing to inspire and support young learners each day. She loves the laughter children bring to the classroom and believes their sense of humor makes every day a new adventure. Her goal is to create a positive, welcoming environment where children feel encouraged to learn, grow, and be themselves.

Ms. Vest has been working in early childhood education since 2019 and is passionate about helping children learn, grow, and reach new milestones each day. She enjoys creating a nurturing, engaging classroom where children feel encouraged to explore, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love of learning.

Her favorite children’s book is The Sour Grape, and Easter is her favorite holiday. One of the traditions she looks forward to each year is celebrating Grandparents’ Week with her family. At home, she speaks English and enjoys spending time with her dog, Dexter. Her caring nature and dedication help create a positive learning environment where every child feels supported and valued.

Mrs. Johnson has been working in early childhood education since 1990 and has been part of PSOH since August 2016. As a Pre-Kindergarten teacher, she brings decades of experience, patience, and enthusiasm to her classroom. She holds a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and is passionate about helping children grow academically, socially, and emotionally while creating a classroom full of encouragement and laughter. One phrase you’ll often hear from Mrs. Johnson is, “Wash your paws!”—her fun and memorable reminder for children to wash their hands.

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, her favorite children’s book is Rent Party Jazz by William Miller, and she most relates to Libby the Lamb because she believes in treating every child with fairness, kindness, and respect. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping, couponing, watching movies, and indulging in favorites like whole kernel corn, Peanut M&M’s, and Chips Ahoy cookies. What brings her the greatest joy is listening to children excitedly share stories about their day, their families, and the little moments that make childhood so special.

Mrs. Cornwell has been working in early childhood education since 2008 and has been part of the Primrose School of Hendersonville team since July 2016. As a Pre-Kindergarten teacher, she is passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences that inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love of discovery. She holds a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and has a background in Early Childhood Education, allowing her to provide engaging, developmentally appropriate experiences that help children build the confidence and skills they need as they prepare for their next educational journey. Originally from San Diego, California, she brings warmth, enthusiasm, and a positive spirit to her classroom each day.

Her favorite children’s book is Pete the Cat by Eric Litwin, and she most relates to Primrose Friend, Megy the Pig because she enjoys teaching children the importance of conservation through everyday lessons about recycling and saving water. She affectionately calls Megy her “California Pig,” a fun nod to her hometown. In her free time, Mrs. Cornwell enjoys woodworking and anything with Mexican-inspired flavors. Mrs. Martin has been working in early childhood education since 2001 and joined the Primrose School of Hendersonville team in July 2023. As a Pre-Kindergarten teacher, she brings years of experience, compassion, and enthusiasm to the classroom. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and is passionate about preparing children for kindergarten by fostering confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, she enjoys creating engaging experiences that help every child reach their full potential.

Mrs. Chaffin joined the PSOH team in July 2025 and has been working in early childhood education since 2022. As a Pre-Kindergarten teacher, she enjoys helping children develop the confidence, independence, and skills they need for a successful transition to kindergarten. Originally from Westmoreland, Tennessee, she is dedicated to creating a positive classroom where children are encouraged to explore, ask questions, and discover a love of learning.

Her favorite children’s book is Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, and she most relates to Percy the Rooster because she believes courage helps children embrace new experiences and challenges. Mrs. Page has been working in early childhood education since 2009 and has been a valued member of the Primrose School of Hendersonville team since February 2016. A recipient of the 2026 Primrose Educator of the Year Award, she is recognized for her dedication, creativity, and passion for providing exceptional learning experiences for young children. Her imaginative approach to teaching inspires curiosity, encourages exploration, and helps every child feel excited to learn and grow in a nurturing environment.

Originally from Boulder County, Colorado, Mrs. Page completed four years of college and brings both experience and heart to her classroom each day. Her favorite children’s book is Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown, and she most relates to Benjamin the Bear because she believes generosity and kindness are essential in helping children build meaningful relationships. In her free time, she enjoys crafting, spending time with her husband and their daughter, Ava, and never says no to pasta with a side of plenty of ranch. What makes her smile most is witnessing acts of kindness and seeing people care for one another.

Mrs. Hollingsworth joined the PSOH team in August 2024 and has been working in early childhood education since 2023. As our Kindergarten Teacher, she is passionate about preparing students for lifelong success by fostering confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning. She holds a Master of Business Administration and enjoys creating a classroom where children are encouraged to think creatively, ask questions, and embrace new challenges.

Originally from Gallatin, Tennessee, her favorite children’s book is Where the Sidewalk Ends, and she most relates to Percy the Rooster because she believes courage helps children grow into confident learners. In her free time, she enjoys sewing and painting, and she never turns down anything chocolate. What makes her smile most is the sound of a baby’s laughter, a reminder of the joy found in everyday moments.

Mrs. Sudekum, affectionately known as “Sudie,” has been a valued member of the Primrose School of Hendersonville team since July 2013. With experience in early childhood education since 2009 and an Associate’s Degree in Business, she plays an important role in keeping our students happy and healthy by preparing delicious, nutritious meals each day. She loves knowing that the food she serves helps fuel children’s learning, growth, and play.

Originally from Gallatin, Tennessee, Sudie’s favorite children’s book is Oh, the Places You’ll Go! by Dr. Seuss, and she most relates to Og the Bookworm because she loves getting lost in a good book. Ms. Reckart joined the Primrose School of Hendersonville team in January 2024 and has been working in early childhood education since 2019. Originally from Hendersonville, Tennessee, she is currently pursuing a degree in Psychology and enjoys helping children build confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning. She is passionate about creating a positive classroom where every child feels encouraged to explore, grow, and succeed.
