Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

Requiring any children or staff with fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants
Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access
Monthly emergency drills so children and staff are prepared for emergencies

Hello, my name is Ms. Cochran, and I am a teacher here at The Primrose School of Grandview. I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and I graduated from Fort. Hayes High School. I grew up babysitting and also helping in family day care centers. I have always enjoyed being around children and I love the energy they bring and their love of learning. In my free time I am pursuing a degree in Culinary Arts. I enjoy cooking, traveling and spending time with my friends. I love helping kids grow and prosper into being the best version of themselves. I look forward to bonding and connecting with all of the children and parents at The Primrose School. I am so happy to be a part of the Grandview team!

Hello! My name is Ms. Malthaner, and I am a teacher here at The Primrose School of Grandview. I have been babysitting on and off since I was 14 years old, and I have also had the opportunity to work with preschoolers through my church for several years. I am engaged and have a wonderful stepdaughter. In my free time, I enjoy playing a variety of musical instruments, reading, and drawing. I am excited to meet all of the children in my care and get to know each of their unique personalities. I look forward to building lasting relationships with both my students and their families while creating a warm, caring, and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.

Each child was able to VOTE for their favorite Candidate: Mia the Mouse: Mia shows children that being a good citizen means making your community, school and home better for everyone -OR- Percy the Rooster: Percy teaches that courage is about doing the right thing even when it’s scary or hard. He shows children that they can be courageous in ways big and small.

Observing and Recording in our Pre-K Classroom

We spent some time closely observing various seeds and cones. Using a magnifying lens, we were able to examine the intricate details of each specimen. Following our observations, we then created detailed observational drawings in our Science Journals. This exercise allowed us to explore the unique structures and characteristics of seeds and cones in a hands-on way 💚#primroseproud

Chess with Percy ♟💚

Chess with Percy is a Balanced Learning® Enrichment Program designed to introduce 4- and 5-year-olds to the world of chess through engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction. Rather than focusing on competitive play, this program introduces the building blocks of chess and nurtures spatial awareness, logical thinking, and problem solving while helping children develop essential cognitive and social skills. The lessons progress intentionally to ensure young learners engage meaningfully while having fun without frustration or overwhelm. #enrichmentprograms #primroseproud
