Meagan Wise serves as Area Director of Primrose School of Gallatin and Primrose School of Hendersonville, bringing extensive experience in early childhood education, school leadership, and family support to both Primrose communities.

Meagan graduated from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Birth through Kindergarten Teacher Education as well as a Bachelor of Science in Family and Community Services. She joined the Primrose School of Hendersonville family in 2009 and has served as Director since 2010.

In her leadership role, Meagan oversees the educational programs, operations, staff development, and quality standards of both schools. She works closely with each school’s leadership and teaching teams to ensure children receive consistent, high-quality early learning experiences in nurturing, engaging, and safe environments.

A major part of that commitment is investing in well-prepared early childhood educators. All Primrose School of Gallatin and Primrose School of Hendersonville staff members are CPR, First Aid, and AED certified and complete comprehensive background checks. Before entering the classroom, new staff members also complete approximately 18 hours of Primrose training to prepare them for the curriculum, classroom expectations, safety procedures, and standards of care.

Professional development continues throughout each educator’s time with our schools. Staff complete a minimum of 30 professional development hours annually, as required by the Department of Education, helping our teachers continue to strengthen their knowledge of child development, classroom practices, safety, and early childhood education.

Our teams also participate in ongoing health and safety training, including Safe Sleep Practices, Child Abuse Awareness, Shaken Baby Syndrome Prevention, Allergy Management in the Classroom, and other important procedures designed to protect the health and well-being of every child in our care.

We also maintain food safety practices to help protect children with allergies. Foods containing peanuts or tree nuts are not permitted in our schools.

Under Meagan’s leadership, Primrose School of Gallatin and Primrose School of Hendersonville remain focused on what matters most: providing families with trusted child care and early education where children are known, nurtured, challenged, and encouraged to grow. From Infant and Toddler care through Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten, our goal is to create a strong partnership with families while providing children with a safe and meaningful foundation for future learning.

Kelley Hartzfeld serves as Director of Primrose School of Gallatin. She began her Primrose journey in 2021 as a Pre-Kindergarten teacher and joined the management team in 2024. Kelley holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts and brings experience teaching children across a wide range of ages, from infants and toddlers to preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, and school-age summer programs.

Kelley’s creativity and passion for early childhood education help her build engaging learning environments where children feel connected, confident, and excited to learn. As Director, she works closely with teachers and families to support high-quality child care, the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum, and the strong school-to-home partnerships that are an important part of the Primrose experience.

As a Gallatin resident, Kelley is especially excited to build meaningful relationships with families throughout the local community. She lives in Gallatin with her husband, son Liam, and daughter Alice and is proud to help bring the Primrose approach to early learning and child development to families in Gallatin and the surrounding Sumner County area.

Kelley looks forward to being part of each family’s educational journey and creating a welcoming school community where children can learn, grow, explore, and thrive.

ALL Primrose Staff Members are CPR, FIRST AID, & AED Trained as well as background checked. April Hill-Brown serves as Director of Enrollment at Primrose School of Gallatin and is often one of the first friendly faces families meet when exploring child care and early education options for their children.

April first joined the Primrose family in 2009 as a Toddler Teacher, where she remained until 2015. She later expanded her leadership experience as a medical office manager before returning to Primrose in 2023 to help welcome and guide families as Primrose School of Gallatin prepared to open.

April holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Management from Bethel University and an Associate Degree in Elementary Education. Her combination of classroom experience, leadership, and knowledge of Primrose allows her to help families understand our programs, the Primrose Balanced Learning® approach, and what makes the Primrose experience unique.

As Director of Enrollment, April guides families through the inquiry, school tour, and enrollment process. She enjoys getting to know each family, learning what they are looking for in a preschool or child care program, answering questions, and helping parents feel confident as they choose the right early learning environment for their child.

April is proud to welcome families from Gallatin, Station Camp, Cottontown, Castalian Springs, Bethpage, Portland, White House, North Hendersonville, and surrounding Sumner County communities. Whether families are searching for infant care, toddler care, preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, or after-school care, she looks forward to introducing them to our school and helping them begin their Primrose journey.

Jessica serves as our Assistant Director of Education She has a passion for early childhood education and more than 20 years of experience working with children, I love creating meaningful experiences where children can learn, grow, and explore. My favorite part of teaching is watching children discover something new and seeing their excitement as they make connections about the world around them.

My favorite children’s book is My Shadow Is Pink by Scott Stuart, and I especially enjoy celebrating Thanksgiving and our family’s special July celebrations.

At home, my family includes four beloved pets: Lyra and Nugget, our dogs, and Brynhilda and Juper, our cats. I look forward to getting to know each child and family and making our classroom a place where every child feels welcomed, valued, and excited to discover something new each day.

Ms. Denton serves as our on-site Chef, she helps create our monthly menu for all of our friends! Her favorite children’s book is The Butter Battle Book by Dr. Seuss, and Thanksgiving is her favorite holiday. One of her favorite family traditions is cooking together and making special memories with loved ones.

She has childcare and teaching experience dating back to 2011, Ms. Denton brings years of experience, care, and enthusiasm to working with children. She especially loves all the  and enjoys the joy, curiosity, and laughter children bring each day.

At home, Ms. Denton enjoys life with her furry family members: Daisy and Boaz, her dogs, and Snickers, her cat. She looks forward to creating a warm, fun, and nurturing environment where every child feels valued, supported, and ready to learn and grow.

Since joining Primrose in 2025, Ms. Andrews has enjoyed helping children learn, grow, and reach exciting new milestones each day. She is passionate about creating a caring and encouraging environment where every child feels supported as they develop new skills and confidence.

Her favorite children’s book is If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, and Christmas is her favorite holiday, especially because of her family’s tradition of wearing matching Christmas pajamas and baking cookies for Santa. At home, she speaks English and enjoys spending time with her dog, Marley. In her free time, she loves reading and baking.

Since joining Primrose in 2023, Ms. Wellman has loved caring for infants and watching them laugh, grow, and reach new developmental milestones. She enjoys creating a warm, nurturing environment where babies feel safe, loved, and encouraged to explore the world around them.

Her favorite children’s book is Pinkalicious, and Christmas is her favorite holiday. She especially enjoys baking and decorating Christmas cookies with her family, and one of their favorite traditions is spending hours playing board games together each Christmas. At home, she speaks English, and in her free time, she loves reading and shopping.

Ms. Fifield has been working in early childhood education since 2012 and holds an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. She loves watching children gain new skills and confidence as they learn and grow, and she enjoys creating a supportive, engaging environment where every child can thrive.

Her favorite children’s book is The BFG, and Halloween is her favorite holiday. Some of her favorite family traditions include spending Christmas Eve at her grandma’s house and attending a show at TPAC with her sister each year. At home, she speaks English and enjoys spending time with her dog, Indy. In her free time, she loves reading and caring for her plants.

Since joining Primrose in 2026, Ms. Williams has over 20 years of experience in childcare and teaching since 2005, she is  passionate about creating a warm, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn and grow. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and truly enjoy the joy and energy children bring each day. Her favorite part of working with children is seeing their smiles daily and knowing that she can be a positive part of their early learning experiences.

Outside of the classroom, she enjoy reading Day in the Snow, celebrating Christmas, and spending time with my family watching movies. She looks forward to building meaningful relationships with each child and helping make their early years happy, memorable, and full of learning.

Mrs. Robinson has been working in early childhood education since 2025 and holds a Bachelor’s degree in. She loves watching children grow, especially as their individual personalities, confidence, and interests begin to shine. Being part of those important early years and helping children learn through new experiences is one of her favorite parts of teaching.

Her favorite children’s book is The Berenstain Bears and the Spooky Old Tree, and the Fourth of July is her favorite holiday. One of her favorite family traditions is spending Thanksgiving together in a cabin. Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Robinson loves traveling and spending time with her two Goldendoodles, Ben and Jerry.

Since starting with Primrose in 2026, India has childcare and teaching experience since 2025, she is passionate about creating a positive and nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. She especially enjoys watching children develop new skills and discover the world around them. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree and loves bringing her enthusiasm and caring personality into her work with children.

Her favorite children’s book is Biscuit, and she enjoys celebrating Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Halloween. One of her favorite family traditions is making homemade toffee during the Christmas season.

Outside of the classroom, she enjoys reading, shopping, fishing, skincare and nails, and traveling. She looks forward to building meaningful relationships with children and families while supporting each child’s growth and development.

Since joining Primrose in 2026, she has been working with children since 2022 and is passionate about creating positive experiences that help children learn, grow, and build confidence. Her favorite part of working with children is watching their confidence grow through new experiences and accomplishments.

She has completed some college and especially enjoys reading Pig the Pug with children. She loves celebrating Christmas and Halloween, with making homemade toffee during Christmas being a favorite family tradition.

Outside of work, she enjoys reading, shopping, practicing yoga, and taking time for skincare and nails. She looks forward to building meaningful connections with the children in her care and supporting them as they grow into confident, happy learners.

Since joining Primrose 2026, she has been working in childcare and teaching since 2015 and has continued her education through classes at Volunteer State Community College. She especially enjoys the “ah-ha!” moments when children make new discoveries, as well as the funny and unexpected things they say.

Her favorite children’s book is If You Give a Pig a Pancake, and Halloween is her favorite holiday. She treasures her family’s tradition of gathering for a family reunion every two years. At home, she enjoys the company of her three cats, Callie, Dio, and Roxanne.

Outside of work, she loves performing in musicals and learning new dances. She brings her creativity, enthusiasm, and love of learning to everything she does with children.

Ms. Nelson has been working in early childhood education since 2023 and enjoys getting to know each child’s unique personality, interests, and learning style. She loves building meaningful relationships with her students and creating a classroom where they feel comfortable exploring, learning, and being themselves.

Her favorite children’s book is The Rainbow Fish, a story she loves for its lessons about friendship and kindness. Easter and Christmas are her favorite holidays, and outside of the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her cat, watching true crime, and relaxing with a good nap!

Mrs. Grimm has been working in early childhood education since 2021 and has completed college coursework in Early Childhood Education. She loves helping children grow, celebrating their accomplishments, and guiding them through new challenges as they build confidence and independence each day.

Her favorite children’s book is Holly & Ivy by Rumer Godden, and her favorite holidays are Thanksgiving and Christmas. One of her favorite family traditions is gathering for game nights. At home, she enjoys spending time with her cat, Cinderella. In her free time, she loves reading and making memories with her family.

Since joining Primrose in 2025, she has been working with children since 2024 and holds a BFA in Illustration. She loves connecting with children and creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment where they can learn and grow.

Her favorite children’s book is ABC What Could Be, and Christmas is her favorite holiday. One of her favorite family traditions is having a sibling sleepover on Christmas Eve. At home, she enjoys spending time with Gordon, her cat. In her free time, she loves drawing and spending time with her family’s horses.

Ms. Foxx has been working in early childhood education since 2023 and has an educational background in Early Childhood. She is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young children and enjoys helping them learn, grow, and build confidence every day.

Her favorite children’s book is If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, and her favorite holidays are Thanksgiving and Christmas. She enjoys gathering with her family for Sunday dinners, a tradition she looks forward to each week. At home, she speaks English and spends time with her dog, Maui. In her free time, she loves reading and writing books.

Ms. Pierre holds a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and is passionate about inspiring a lifelong love of learning in young children. She was honored as the 2026 Primrose Educator of the Year, recognizing her dedication, leadership, and commitment to providing exceptional early childhood education. She especially enjoys witnessing each child’s “lightbulb” moments—those exciting times when understanding clicks and confidence begins to shine.

Her favorite children’s book is Llama Llama Red Pajama, and Christmas is her favorite holiday. One of her favorite family traditions is gathering for game nights. At home, she speaks both English and American Sign Language (ASL). In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, taking road trips, and creating crafts.

Ms. Tyler joined Primrose School of Gallatin in 2026 and has an educational background in Elementary Education from Volunteer State Community College. She enjoys watching children grow in every area of development and loves seeing the excitement on their faces as they learn something new each day.

Her favorite children’s book is Oh, the Places You’ll Go!, and her favorite holidays are Christmas and Valentine’s Day. One of her favorite family traditions is gathering together for Sunday dinner. At home, she speaks English and, in her free time, enjoys coloring, reading, dancing, and taking nature walks.

Mrs. Zell has been working in early childhood education since 2016 and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She is passionate about building strong relationships with both children and their families, believing that meaningful connections create the foundation for a positive and successful learning experience.

She enjoys the stories and humor found in Mo Willems’ children’s books, and Christmas is her favorite holiday. At home, she spends time with her Old English Bulldog, Buddy, and her two cats, Atlas and Milo. In her free time, she enjoys baking sourdough, creating crafts, and making memories with her family.

Ms. DePriest has been a valued member of the Primrose School of Gallatin team since 2025. She enjoys building meaningful relationships with children and loves listening to the imaginative stories they share each day. Her goal is to help create a warm, welcoming classroom where every child feels encouraged to learn and grow.

Her favorite children’s book is The Day the Crayons Quit, and Thanksgiving is her favorite holiday. One of her favorite family traditions is spending Christmas at her grandma’s house. At home, she speaks English and has a lively group of pets, including five dogs—Smokie, Max, Meme, Rocky, and Norman—three cats named Tommy, Ash, and Tiger, and a bunny named Daisy. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, fishing, and spending time with friends.

Ms. Winegar has been working in early childhood education since 2000 and brings years of experience, patience, and enthusiasm to the classroom. She enjoys getting to know each child’s unique personality and especially loves discovering their individual sense of humor. She is passionate about creating a positive environment where children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn.

Her favorite children’s book is I Do Not Eat Children, and Halloween is her favorite holiday. At home, she speaks English and enjoys spending her free time relaxing with a good nap, enjoying her favorite foods, and being outdoors.

Mrs. Keating brings a diverse background in education, with experience as a preschool teacher, first grade teacher, and water safety/swim instructor for infants and children. With a degree in Education, she is passionate about helping children learn, explore, and develop confidence in every stage of their growth. She especially enjoys their creativity, honest perspectives, thoughtful questions, and the laughter they bring each day.

Her favorite children’s books are Love You Forever and Goodnight Moon, and Thanksgiving is her favorite holiday. One of her most treasured family traditions is taking long walks on the beach in East Hampton, New York, with her children. She enjoys creating meaningful connections with every child and fostering a warm, engaging learning environment where they can thrive.

Mrs. Dove joined Primrose School of Hendersonville team in September 2022 and you may sometimes see her helping at our Primrose School of Gallatin school. As an Early Preschool teacher, she loves creating an energetic, welcoming classroom where children are encouraged to explore, ask questions, and embrace the joy of learning. She enjoys helping young learners build confidence, friendships, and independence through meaningful everyday experiences.

Her favorite children’s book is The Lion King. She most relates to Primrose Friend, Og the Bookworm because she believes in teaching children the importance of being a caring friend. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys crafts such as beading earrings. What she enjoys most about working with children is seeing them smile.

Ms. Hardaway has worked in early childhood education since 2001, with experience supporting children in special education and providing behavioral support. She loves building meaningful connections with children and watching their personalities, confidence, and abilities grow.

Her favorite children’s book is Goodnight Moon, and Christmas is her favorite holiday. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys taking walks, spending time at the beach, and making memories with her children and granddaughter, Demi. She also loves her Shih Tzu, Niptsey.

Ms. Hardaway is excited to be part of the Primrose family and looks forward to creating a nurturing environment where children feel supported, valued, and excited to learn.

Since beginning her career in early childhood education in 2019, Mrs. Lyle has been passionate about helping children learn, grow, and gain confidence. She joined the Primrose School of Hendersonville team in May 2025 and is currently pursuing a degree in Special Education. Originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, she is dedicated to creating an encouraging classroom where every child feels supported, valued, and inspired to reach their full potential.

Her favorite children’s book is Chrysanthemum, and she most relates to Primrose Friend, Billy the Duck because she believes keeping promises helps build trust and strong relationships. In her free time, she enjoys making music, and pasta is one of her favorite meals. What brings her the most joy is seeing others accomplish their dreams and goals, whether in the classroom or beyond.
