Health & Safety

Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access

A few details about me:
I like playing games, going thrifting, and writing. I also enjoy listening to music and hanging out with friends. I started teaching at Primrose School at Eagle Ranch in 2023 after moving away from my hometown.

My favorite children’s book:
The Sneetches and Other Stories because when I first read it to my first group of students, they adored it and asked me to read it again every other day!

The Primrose character I most relate to:
Billy the Duck because he is all about being honest and keeping promises and working on your character.

My favorite part of the Balanced Learning Curriculum:
Harmony and Hearts because I love seeing all the kids singing and dancing and learning all of the songs!

At Primrose School at Eagle Ranch, we encourage children to explore, create, and try new ideas. Through block play and experimentation, preschoolers build independence, confidence, and a deeper understanding of how the world works.

Our students learned about the life cycle of butterflies as we cared for caterpillars and watched them grow and change. We observed as they formed their chrysalides and patiently waited for them to emerge as butterflies. When it was time, the children gently released the butterflies outside! This helps our students practice observation skills, learn about life cycles, and build an appreciation for living things.
