Early Preschool teachers provide a safe, nurturing environment where your child can explore and stretch their talents to the fullest all while building self-confidence. Health & Safety
Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
- Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
- Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
- Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
- Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
- Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
- Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
- Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
- Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access

My name is Ka’Shauna Johnson and I am a student at Georgia State University, majoring in early childhood education. I genuinely enjoy teaching and engaging with kids and becoming an inspiration to them in a learning environment. I look forward to getting to know the families here!

Rosa Diaz
I am so excited to join the staff at the Primrose School of Druid Hills! My goals are to keep growing professionally, and to show the children in my classroom that school is their second home. It is very important to me to show love and passion each day and to spread joy and happiness to the children, parents, and my co-workers.

Avonna Doods
Hello, my name is Avonna Dodds! I am currently majoring in Mathematics with the goal of becoming a math teacher in the future. I have a strong passion for education and truly enjoy working with children and being part of their learning journey. I love creating a fun, positive, and encouraging environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. I am so excited to get to know the children and families here and look forward to building meaningful connections with everyone!

Johnnita Desmond
Hello, my name is Johnnita Desmond. I am a native of Atlanta, and have worked in childcare for 7 years. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Early Learning from Mercer University. In my leisure time I enjoy spending time with my family. I also enjoy watching football and basketball games. My passion has always been to work with children. I believe children are the most precious gift, and that they learn best in a loving and safe environment. I am looking forward to meeting your family and being a part of Primrose Druid Hills.

I am currently a student at Georgia State University pursuing my degree in Early Childhood Education. I have been working with children for almost 10 years as a teacher and caregiver. While working in my church’s child care program, I gained a lot more love and compassion for teaching.

I’m a dedicated mother of one and currently working toward a bachelor’s degree in Psychology . I bring a nurturing, patient, responsible approach to childcare. My passion for working with children has always been a guiding force in my life. The hands-on experience I have as a parent has equipped me with valuable skills in attentiveness, multitasking, and emotional support.
