Our Pre-Kindergarten Classroom

Primrose® introduces and reinforces new information through playful exploration, teacher-guided inquiry and rich discussion as they help foster Active Minds, Healthy Bodies, and Happy Hearts®. Your child will have fun every day as they play and learn important academic skills, social skills and more, because when they are mentally, physically and emotionally ready to learn a skill, they develop mastery.

Health & Safety

Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

  • Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
  • Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
  • Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
  • Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
  • Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
  • Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
  • Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
  • Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access

Let’s get to know each other.

Hello Parents! My name is Virginia Payne.

I have been working in the early childhood education field since 1987, and I hold a degree in Health and Physical Education. I really enjoy working with children and helping them to be responsible, enjoy learning and reach their full potential.

I am happily married to my best friend, my husband of 33 years. I have lived in Colorado for 30 years, and I love to spend my time creating and being crafty. I believe teaching is my calling, and I am always so excited to see the end results of education. A fun fact about me is that I played basketball for Lincoln University for 3 years on a basketball scholarship. I love sports!

I can’t wait to learn more about you and your family!

Hello Parents! My name is Heather. I am a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher at Primrose Denver Central Park. I have been working in the Early Education Field since 2009. This experience has provided me with the tools I need to be a fantastic teacher!

I enjoy working with children and helping them grow and learn to be all they can in this world. I believe each child has a special gift to offer in this world and as a teacher, I plan to point that out. I love working working in the Early Childhood Education because I see so much potential in every child I come contact with.

I was born and raised in Colorado. I love to travel! I feel like one of the best ways to learn is to travel and experience new things.

I can’t wait to learn more about you and your family!
