Summit Alexander joined our team from the time we signed our franchise agreement with Primrose Schools, and joined the Alexander family in 2007. While he is never at the school with the children, he is working hard at home, making sure Michele and Tim have all the kisses, leans and play-time they can handle. He does some weekend and evening visits to the school when his time allows, but he mostly enjoys his time in his backyard and napping. He owes his dashing good looks to his mixed breed of being a brindle Boxer and Red Healer mix and he loves that his Mom and Dad love being the owners of Primrose School at Colorado Station.

Hi, I’m Florentino and I am the Chef at PCSC!

I was born and raised in Colorado and went to culinary school right out of high school.

I started at the Flatz in the Renaissance Suites Hotel, a fine dining restaurant where I began prepping and working banquets. Finally entrusted to work on the line, I cracked eggs early mornings until I worked my way to conquering all stations and was promoted to the night shift.

From there I moved on to Elways downtown in the Ritz Carlton. Busy nights on the sauté station sharpened my talent and toughened my skin. After two years I moved to the Avenue Grill as a kitchen manager.

Although I was happy, one dessert from Rioja on Larimer Street changed how I looked at food. Working extra days and long nights, I earned a Sous Chef position at their sister restaurant Stoic and Genuine. An oyster and seafood experience that propelled me further in my culinary career.

Then the opportunity arose; An Executive Chef job opened up at Cru Food and Wine, where I stayed for four years learning how to lead my own team of young chefs.

After Covid and some life changes, I know it is not fine dining, but the smiles and graciousness from my little guests here at Primrose at Colorado Station is making this my favorite place to cook!
