Teachers & Staff

Katie Beckman
My name is Katie Beckman, and I am thrilled to join Primrose School of Canton at Blue Hills as the Director of School Operations. Having over 20 years of experience, I began my lifelong love in early childhood education as a teacher’s assistant when I quickly learned that working with children and families was how I wanted to grow my future. Continuing my journey in education after high school, I obtained my Lead Teacher and Director certifications through the Department of Early Education and Care at MassBay Community College.
Throughout my career, I have always developed strong relationships with my peers, and they often looked to me for guidance. With my growing love for helping others thrive, I began my leadership journey through diverse management roles in different schools. I have grown as a director for the past 7 years and have a wealth of knowledge that I am excited to share with our team in Canton.
I am committed to nurturing strong relationships with new families, children, and educators at Primrose. My passion lies in early childhood education, and I am eager to lead a school that will bring quality education and care to the Canton community. I strive to provide a safe, caring, and happy environment for all children and their families.
I live in a nearby town with my partner and my 15-year-old son. In my spare time, I love to cheer my son on playing football and spend my down time crafting scrapbook pages or reading.

Celina Yoon
My name is Celina Yoon. I am excited to be joining Primrose School of Canton at Blue Hills as the Education Coach. I have been in the early education field since I graduated high school in 2013 and got my first experience as a babysitter even earlier than that! Growing up the oldest of many, I loved helping care for and raise children and in turn my passion grew in the field as I learned to teach. Over the years since I went to Massasoit and Fisher college to obtain my Lead Teacher and Director certifications through the Department of Early Education and Care to help build both my knowledge and credentials in the field.
Before joining the team at Primrose, I worked as a lead teacher in various schools in Massachusetts, as well as a nanny during the pandemic. During that time, I learned about many different cultures and traditions that helped me develop various ways to create bonds with different children and families. This is a skill that I am grateful for and can’t wait to share with the teachers here.
My goal is to always provide a warm and safe space for children to be open and expressive of themselves so that their families can see them thrive and develop into their own person.
In my spare time I love to spend time with my two children, eight and two, and their dad watching our favorite anime’s, going out and doing family and community activities, and running our landscape business.

Franchise Owners
Janki & Manan Patel
We are the proud owners, Janki and Manan Patel, of Primrose School of Canton at Blue Hills.
We believe that children are like little sponges and high-quality early education and care can set them up for life. Learning will never stop, and the key is to provide proper guidance and nurturing to help them reach their full potential. Primrose’s belief, “who children become is as important as what they know,” is a perfect explanation of why a strong fundamental base of education is important at an early age.
We discovered Primrose when we began searching for early education and care options for our son, Shaan, and fell in love with its philosophy and exclusive Balanced Learning® approach. The research-informed curriculum with its integration of STEAM-based learning sets it apart.
Janki has a bachelor’s degree from University of Guelph in Canada with a major in biochemistry, a Bachelor of Pharmacy from University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia and her master’s degree in health informatics from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. Manan graduated magna cum laude from New York University with a major in biochemistry and a minor in mathematics and earned a medical degree at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center.
Growing up in an entrepreneurial family, Manan was always interested in multiple business ventures. To fuel that passion, he slowly transitioned away from the medical field and joined the family business, operating several retail stores and hotels. Understanding the need for high quality early education and care, Manan and Janki saw this as a perfect fit for their family. It allows them a chance to combine their experience in managing multiple businesses with their academic background and appreciation for education. Shaan will be the first student to enroll at Primrose School of Canton at Blue Hills.
