Primrose School of Buckhead is open Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

We close for New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day after, and Christmas Day. We also typically close between Christmas and New Year’s, plus a couple of days around July 4th, so we’d recommend checking our published calendar when planning ahead.

School readiness starts in our Infant classroom and grows through every stage of our Balanced Learning® approach, with each year building the academic, social-emotional and life skills children need for future success.

Using balanced assessments and ongoing teacher observations, we monitor each child’s development, individualize learning experiences and stay in close contact with families to support a confident transition to kindergarten and beyond.

Our Pre-K students also undergo testing using the Early Star Literacy program to assess their readiness for Kindergarten. We are proud that 100% of our PreK graduates meet and exceed the yearly benchmark established by Primrose Schools.

Yes! Primrose School of Buckhead has secure outdoor playgrounds, designed specifically to work within our urban Buckhead setting, giving children daily outdoor play as part of their regular schedule.

Our playgrounds are carefully monitored to ensure children can explore, play and learn safely. Staff remain actively involved in children’s play experiences, perform daily safety checks and maintain constant supervision. Daily safety inspections, ongoing environmental monitoring and weather-related precautions help create a secure outdoor experience for every child.

We have recently added an indoor playground so that our students can enjoy a dedicated area for physical activity even on rainy days and extra hot and humid summer days.

No. Every family gets one-on-one support from our teachers, at whatever pace works best for their child, with a consistent approach kept between school and home.

Of course! Our on-site chef prepares breakfast, lunch and snacks fresh each day in our own culinary kitchen, all part of our Balanced Menus. Breakfast rotates through options like a croissant with milk, pancakes with peach compote, and a bagel with cream cheese.

Our lunch menus include favorites like cheese quesadillas with refried beans, macaroni and cheese with steamed broccoli and peaches, and lasagna with Italian salad and pears, giving children variety and proper nutrition throughout the week.

All foods and meals are age-appropriate.

We work closely with each family to build an individualized plan, so your child eats safely and confidently at our school.

Our teachers and kitchen staff are trained to accommodate peanut and tree nut allergies, as well as vegetarian diets.

Every classroom at a Primrose school follows a Safe School Plan built to help teachers respond without missing a step. Staff and children practice these drills monthly, and each school keeps its plan current so families know what to expect.

We use an app to keep families connected throughout the day by sharing photos, classroom activities, curriculum information, nap updates, and diaper change and bathroom visit notifications. The app also offers two-way communication, making it easy to stay in touch with your child’s teachers.
