Welcome to Primrose Schools!
We are Manish and Gia Patel, the proud owners of the Primrose School of Broken Arrow!
We are blessed to have two daughters and have called Broken Arrow home for over a decade. Prior to opening a Primrose School, I worked for several years as a Women’s Health Pharmaceutical Specialist but always had an entrepreneurial aspiration. Manish obtained his doctorate’s degree in Pharmacy from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and serves as a Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist. Together, the four of us love to play basketball, hike, bike, swim, travel, and read!
Our Primrose story began when we found ourselves looking for high quality early education and child care for our eldest daughter, but felt thwarted by the lack of accessible options in our local community. Just like any other parent, we know how important it is to find both a safe and educational environment for our children. Having been amazed by Primrose Schools during our search, we even went so far as to enrolling our daughter to the waiting list of a Primrose School that recently opened in South Tulsa, even though it was not convenient to where we lived and worked. However, after considerable thought and deliberation, we realized that we were not alone in the challenges we were facing and decided to open a school locally to help support families across the Broken Arrow community and surrounding areas.
As we researched options for schools, it became clear that quality early childhood education is paramount for early development, as ninety percent of a child’s brain develops in the first five years of life. And it was the researched-informed, time-tested and exclusive Balanced Learning® curriculum that continued to attract us to Primrose Schools as we looked to open a school of our own. Primrose Schools curriculum was created from the best early education wisdom, balancing purposeful play with nurturing guidance from teachers to encourage curiosity, creativity, confidence and compassion. Our proprietary curriculum integrates sign language, Spanish, language and literacy; science, technology, engineering, creative arts and math (STEAM); social studies; music; gardening and mind-stretching exercises. Primrose Schools provides a strong foundation for children to empower their full potential.
Ultimately, we believe that “who children become is as important as what they know.” During our Primrose Promise giving events, we teach, model and practice ways to be compassionate and generous. While Primrose students have shown superior cognitive and academic readiness for Kindergarten, these children also exhibit steady growth in social, emotional, physical, character development and life skills. Primrose is more than just a curriculum; it’s a life-changing, early learning experience for children and their families for years to come! Our love for family and passion for the community is what encouraged us to open Primrose School of Broken Arrow.

Infant Classroom
Our infants have so much fun! At a ratio of 1 teacher to 4 infants, we run lower ratios than the state of Oklahoma requires by having three teachers in our infant program. You can expect three teachers for eight infants! 
Toddler Classroom
The activities and play in our Toddler classrooms keep our students engaged and growing! We separate toddlers between younger and older to ensure their safety!
Starting in our Toddler classrooms, students have the opportunity to go home with Molly's Math Bag and Og's Reading Book Bag for at-school-to-home connections! 
Early Preschool Classrooms
Our 2-year-old classroom introduces concepts and reinforces them through authentic, integrated learning experiences that tap into young children's natural learning processes.
Our teachers will assess each student by utilizing the Ages and Stages Questionnaire, a collaboration between teachers and families that offers greater insight into each student's strengths and opportunities, which teachers alone can't achieve. Every learning experience is purposeful, and teachers can adapt and personalize it for each child! 
Preschool Pathways Classrooms
Our proprietary Preschool Pathways curriculum is designed for children who turn three years old after the cutoff date for school entrance. The Preschool Pathways program bridges the Early Preschool and Preschool programs! 
Preschool Classroom
Our 3-year-olds have a great time in our Preschool classrooms! Our students engage in daily STEAM activities, participate in our Spanish curriculum, and will be introduced to technology! Small Group Literacy and Small Group Math allow for connection, differentiation, and assessments, including ASQs and EOLs. All done in a purposeful play model, where they have fun learning throughout the day! 
Private Pre-Kindergarten Classroom
Our 4-year-olds get kindergarten ready in our Private Pre-K program! Through assessment tracking, we know that 97% of our children are at or above kindergarten readiness, setting them up for success once they go to elementary school! 
Transitional Kindergarten Classroom
Our Transitional Kindergarten classroom is designed for students who don't meet the cut-off date for Kindergarten. Our TK students engage in small and large group settings, participate in Spanish, and use technology! 
Private Kindergarten Classroom
In our Private Kindergarten classroom, our students utilize McGraw-Hill Wonders 2023 for Language and Literacy, and McGraw-Hill Wonders Big Ideas Math for small groups. Kindergarten students are introduced to social studies, Spanish, technology, science, and engineering!

Are all staff members background-checked and CPR/first-aid certified?
Yes. Every Primrose staff member undergoes a thorough background check before joining our school. All staff are also CPR and first–aid certified, so you can feel confident your child is in safe, prepared hands every day.
What curriculum or educational philosophy do you follow?
Our school uses the proprietary Primrose Schools Balanced Learning® curriculum, which is research-informed and designed to nurture the whole child — intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically. We believe in balancing teacher-guided learning with purposeful play to build a strong foundation for the future.
How do you support school readiness and the transition to kindergarten?
All of our programs are designed in age-appropriate ways to prepare children for kindergarten and beyond. We focus on early literacy and numeracy as well as social-emotional skill development — so children arrive at kindergarten confident and ready to thrive. 96% of Primrose Schools Pre-K students met ASQ benchmarks for problem solving.*
