Our teachers and caregivers are trained, ready and excited to help spark lightbulb moments for your child. We invite you to visit and see our Balanced Learning approach in action
Hi, I’m Ellen Gallagher, the owner of Primrose School of Woodstock. My husband and I raised two daughters while having two careers, so we understand the importance of finding high quality early childhood care that focuses not just on education, but also character development.
My journey with Primrose Schools began in 2007 when I decided to pursue my passion for education and leave a career in the athletic footwear industry. I accepted a marketing position with Primrose Schools Corporate offices and knew I had made the right decision. Every aspect of Primrose is deliberate and based on research with health and safety of the children at its core. Working with franchise owners and seeing their commitment to making a difference in the lives of the families and staff members they served, helped me realize this is where I belonged.
It is my goal to continue the thirty year legacy here in Woodstock of creating a safe learning environment that is happy, fun and feels like home away from home for your child. My teachers and leadership team are equally as passionate and committed to delivering on our promise to you which is to provide the best early childhood education and experience that your child can receive each day. As a partner in the care and development of your child, it is important to me to not only meet your expectations but to exceed them!
Please reach out to us to learn more about our school and why Primrose is truly the Leader in Early Education and Care. We look forward to meeting you!
We are conveniently located on Sherwood Drive, right down the road from Woofstock Dog Park and five minutes from Woodstock Elementary School. Unlike an ordinary daycare in Woodstock, we provide your child with a robust early education and child care experience.
Infant, Toddler, Early Preschool, Preschool, Preschool Pathways, Pre-Kindergarten, After School
At Primrose, your child will get more than an infant daycare experience. Our teachers help your child develop and grow, building one skill upon another, which is why we are the leader in infant child care.
Practicing kindness in and outside of the classroom will help children's character development. Learn more about nurturing compassion in this parent resource.
Each February, students at Primrose schools across the country collect their favorite books to donate to local libraries, hospitals, schools and nonprofit organizations.
To better meet the individual needs of every child, we’re proud to implement Ages & Stages Questionnaires® (ASQ®-3 and ASQ®:SE-2) in Primrose schools across the country.
Each Primrose school is held to high standards of safety and cleanliness while maintaining a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
There’s no question that parents want their preschoolers to grasp the basics of colors, numbers and letters to foster a lifetime of learning.
It might seem odd to think about your preschooler exploring data analysis and algebra.
It's a fact: children learn better when they are engaged. That's why purposeful play and nurturing guidance from teachers are key components of Balanced Learning. See how this time-tested approach with a strong emphasis on life skills and character development can help your child develop and excel.
