Mrs. Yvonne Mitchell
Mrs. Yvonne Mitchell has been with Primrose since September of 2019. She started in our Early Preschool classroom and moved into Leadership in 2021. She is originally from California and has lived in Colorado since 2019. She earned her bachelor’s degree in child development from the Cal State University of Long Beach, and she obtained her director’s certificate through Primrose Scholarship Program from the Community College of Aurora. Mrs. Yvonne’s favorite thing about working with children has been to watch how much they grow throughout the years and her favorite children’s book is Llama Llama Red Pajama.
Mrs. Yvonne has two daughters who currently attend Primrose. Her favorite thing about working at Primrose is our Primrose Friends! She loves how each character is incorporated into the curriculum and teaches children different traits. Her favorite Primrose friend is Molly the cow! Her favorite past time is spending time at home with her family and two corgis.
Mrs. Gina Rubio
Ms. Gina Rubio has been with Primrose since October of 2019. She started in our Older Infant/Young Toddler classroom and moved up to leadership in 2022. She is originally from California and moved to Colorado in September of 2019. During her time at Primrose, she went through the Primrose Scholarship Program and earned her AA in Early Childhood Education and her director’s certificate from the Community College of Aurora. Mrs. Gina’s favorite thing about working with children is building different relationships with the child and the families along with watching them grow throughout the years. Her favorite children’s book is Goodnight Moon.
Mrs. Gina has a son who currently attends Primrose. Her favorite thing about Primrose is the balanced learning curriculum, and the community events we do throughout the year. She loves how children develop a love of learning through purposeful play and nurturing guidance. Her favorite Primrose friend is Libby the Lamb. Her favorite past time is being at home with her family, reading, and baking.
Mrs. Jackie Krosky
Mrs. Jackie has been with Primrose since 2009. She started in our Early Preschool classroom and throughout her time she has also done Pre-K and Kindergarten. She moved up to leadership in 2013 with another local Primrose but has been at Tallgrass since 2019. She is born and raised in Aurora, Colorado and currently resides in Parker. Ms. Jackie has her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from CU Denver, and during her time here at Primrose she has also obtained her director’s certificate. Mrs. Jackie’s favorite thing about working with children is seeing the progress they make over time. Her favorite children’s book is If you Give a… (series).
Mrs. Jackie has two sons; both went through Primrose starting as infants through Pre-K and they are now currently in elementary school. Her favorite thing about Primrose is our balanced learning curriculum. She likes the combination of how they are able to play and be kids, along with the nurturing guidance from their teachers. Her favorite Primrose friend is OG the bookworm. On her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, going to concerts, reading and watching her favorite T.V shows.
Mr. Steven Hodges Jr.
Steven Hodges is a graduate of the Philadelphia Restaurant School and has been an executive chef for over 25 years. He made the transition from commercial kitchens to The Primrose School of Tallgrass in order to spend more time with his daughter Emily.
Steven is an avid sports fan, especially when it comes to his Philadelphia teams, but he has been known to cheer on Colorado teams as well!
Steven was a former studio and touring drummer. He still enjoys playing, as well as playing hockey, football, basketball, and baseball. He also enjoys working on models and cooking at home.
Mrs. Gina Wald
Child Care/Teaching Experience: 8.5 years with Primrose. 12 total in childcare.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in English/creative writing from the University of CO Denver.

Before joining the Primrose family, we were busy bringing up our three young vibrant children; Sanskriti, Suryan and Saranya. Our youngest, Saranya, is one of the primary reasons why we are in the industry and she too will be attending Primrose School of Tallgrass. Sabya is a financial services executive and has held leadership positions at Fortune 100 companies. I, Shraboni, have a background in Clinical and Child Psychology and in the past have worked as a mental health counselor and social worker.
We discovered Primrose through searching for an excellent early childhood education program for our daughter and were drawn to the extremely high standards of Primrose Schools. We’re thrilled to bring our passion for education to Primrose School of Tallgrass and the South East Aurora community.
