Schedule A TourMs. Brittney joined Primrose School of Shady Hollow in July 2011. She is originally from Humble, Texas. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. Brittney has her teaching certification in ESL/EC-6. She has worked with children of all ages, but the majority of her experience comes from kindergarten and 4th grade. She loves being active with her two children, fitness, DIY projects, and learning new things. Brittney absolutely loves working with children and believes teaching is the most rewarding profession to be in. Everyday she learns more about herself and enjoys seeing each child grow and learn! Brittney pours her passion for teaching into mentoring and training the teachers of the Primrose School of Shady Hollow.
Mrs. Laura joined Primrose School Shady Hollow in July 2013. She grew up in a small town outside of San Antonio. Mrs. Laura recently graduated from Texas State University with a BA in Business Administration and minored in Marketing. She received her EC - 6th teaching certification in 2017 . While not at Primrose School of Shady Hollow, Laura enjoys being outdoors and near water. She enjoys getting to know all of her students and creating fun and educational activities to help develop their minds!

Mrs. Amanda joined Primrose School of Shady Hollow in August 2015. She is originally from Buda, TX. She graduated in May 2014 from Texas Women's University. She comes from a large family, as she has 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Amanda enjoys spending time with her family, watching movies, and playing recreational softball. Amanda is excited to get to know all of our Primrose families.
Ms. Kenna joined Primrose School of Shady Hollow in July 2019. She is originally from San Marcos, TX. Kenna has had an interest in working with children since High School where she was part of the PALS program. She was able to teach and engage with children ages 5 years old. While not at work, Ms. Kenna enjoys spending time with her friends and swimming.
Mrs. Lauren joined Primrose School of Shady Hollow in February 2014. She was born and raised in Austin and is currently attending Austin Community College studying Psychology. Mrs. Lauren has over 10 years of experience working with children of all ages, but has a love and understanding for the infant age group. Mrs. Lauren provides a happy and safe environment for all of the babies and families in her classroom.
Ms. Presilla joined Primrose School of Shady Hollow in December 2020. She is originally from Middletown, Rhode Island. Her previous experience includes caring for children from infancy to twelve years old. While not at Primrose School of Shady Hollow, she enjoys going to the gym. Presilla is looking forward to helping the children learn and grow.
Ms. Samantha joined the Primrose School of Shady Hollow in February 2023. Her previous experience includes volunteering at a Montessori Schools, along with babysitting children aging from Infants - 5 year olds for 6 plus years! While not at Primrose she likes to spend time with family. We are so excited to have her on our team!
Mrs. Destiny joined the Primrose School of Shady Hollow in June 2022. She was born and raised in Austin, TX. Her previous experience includes working at Northwest Fellowship Church after high school for the summer, then, she worked for the Primrose in Lakeway for about a year. While not at Primorse, she enjoys being around family. Destiny is most excited about getting to make awesome memories and watch the kiddos grown and learn!
Ms. Elizabeth joined the Primrose School of Shady Hollow in February 2023. Her previous experience includes working with children aging from 18 months - 4th Graders with 6 years. While not at Primrose she loves to bake with her kids. We are so excited to have her on our team!
Ms. Larcenia joined Primrose School of Shady Hollow in February 2021. She is originally from Artesia, New Mexico. Her previous experience includes working with children from infancy to nine years old. While not at Primrose School of Shady Hollow, she enjoys rock climbing and exploring the outdoors. Larcenia is looking forward to getting to know everyone in the Primrose community and helping the children learn and grow.
Ms. Imani joined the Primrose School of Shady Hollow in February 2023. Her previous expereince includes working with children aging from Infants - 1 1/2 year olds for 1 year and 4 months. While not at Primrose she enjoys going on runs, hiking, yoga, and rock climbing. We are so excited to have her on our team!
Ms. Siren joined Primrose School of Shady Hollow in March 2021. She is from Long Beach, California. Her previous experience includes taking care of children ages infancy though teenage years. While not at Primrose School of Shady Hollow, Siren enjoys cooking with her family. Siren is looking forward to getting to know the children and watching them grow.
Ms. Katie joined the Primrose School of Shady Hollow in January 2023. Her previous experience includes working at a child development center with children aging from 9 month - 5 years of age. While not at Primrose she likes to paint and sing. We are so excited to have her on our team!
Ms. Victoria joined the Primrose School of Shady Hollow in August 2022. Her previous experience includes working with children aging from 5 - 14 years old for 5 years. While not at Primrose, she enjoys getting together with her friends and floating down the rive, or binge watching movies with her cat, Alibi. We are so excited to have her on our team!
Mrs. Sativa joined the Primrose School of Shady Hollow in August 2022. Her previous experience includes working with children 2 - 3 year old's for 3 plus years. While not at Primrose, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also has a little one, Sawyer! We are so excited to have her on our team.
Ms. Brianna joined Primrose School of Shady Hollow in August 2019. She is originally from Uvalde, TX. She is currently enrolled in classes at Texas State University. Brianna has worked for Primrose Schools in the North Austin area for a year. Brianna has worked with children from Infants to Toddlers. While not at Primrose School of Shady Hollow, Brianna enjoys going to the movies.
Mrs. Sara joined the Primrose School of Shady Hollow in June 2022. She was born and raised in Kingsville, TX. Her previous experience includes working with infants to 12 year-olds through babysitting, nannying, and volunteering at the childcare center on her college campus. While not at Primrose, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family, friends, and cats. Sara is most excited about seeing the children grow and learn. She also is excited about seeing the children have that "aha!" moment.
Ms. Laina joined the Primrose School of Shady Hollow in Jaunary 2023. Her previous expereince includes working with children aging from Infants-6 years of age for 3 years. While not at Primrose she enjoys spending time with her two dogs outside in the nature. We are so excited to have her on our team!
Mrs. Alexis joined Primrose School of Shady Hollow in February 2014. She was born and raised in Austin. Alexis has 16 years of experience in the preschool setting and is the proud mother to her son, Demarion. While not at work, Alexis enjoys playing basketball with her son, playing pool with her husband, and playing computer games. She enjoys fostering a love of learning in her children!
Ms. Caitlin joined Primrose School of Shady Hollow in January 2020. She is originally from Temple, TX. Caitlin has 2 1/2 years experience working with elementary age children. While not at work, Ms. Caitlin enjoys floating the river. She is most excited about getting to know each child and building long lasting relationships with each student and parent.
Ms. Marissa joined Primrose School of Shady Hollow in April 2021. She is born and raised in Austin, Texas. She has four years of experience with children 2 through 12 years of age. While not at Primrose School of Shady Hollow, she enjoys volunteering at her church on the production team. Marissa is looking forward to helping her students grow to their greatest potential.
Mrs. Sandra joined the Primrose School of Shady Hollow back in 2014. Sandra then moved to Oklahoma because of her husband getting a promotion within his company back in 2020. Recently Mrs. Sandra found out that she is going to be a grandmother, so they moved back to Texas in November 2021, and she is now back at Primrose School of Shady Hollow in December 2021. She is originally from Kyle, TX. Mrs. Sandra is a proud mother of 3 children, Tyler, Jason, and Rylee, because of them she has always had a passion for working with children. While not at Primrose School of Shady Hollow she enjoys being around family, grilling, and playing board games. She is excited about meeting all the children in her classroom and watching them grow and learn. We are so thankful to have Sandra back with us.
Ms. Christy joined the Primrose School of Shady Hollow in October 2021. She is originally from Columbus, OH. She started her college career in Columbus, OH but plans to finish at either ACC or Texas State to become a licensed teacher. Her previous experience includes working at the Primrose School at Pinnacle for 4 years and 5 years working with children aging from Infants through Pre-K. While not at Primrose School of Shady Hollow she enjoys being outdoors, hiking or paddle boarding. She also enjoys traveling to new cities. Christy is looking forward to helping the kids learn and grow while having so much fun doing it.
Ms. Brooke joined Primrose School of Shady Hollow in July 2021. She is originally from Alexandria, LA but then moved to Austin, TX in July 2021. She recently graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and is now currently in the Itech program working towards her EC-6 certification. Her previous experience includes 12 years working with children of all ages. While not at Primrose School of Shady Hollow she enjoys traveling and reading. Brooke is mostly excited about meeting her students and getting them excited to learn and try new things.
Ms. Vanessa joined Primrose School of Shady Hollow in September 2017. She is originally from Buda, TX. Vanessa has worked in different child care settings caring for students of all ages, but specifically 2 year old's. Ms. Vanessa is a proud mom to her son, Michael, and enjoys spending her free time with him and her husband. While not at work, she loves spending time with her family and being outdoors. Ms. Vanessa is looking forward to helping her students learn and grow while having fun!
Ms. Emma joined the Primrose School of Shady Hollow in January 2023. Her previous experience includes working with children ranging from Infants - 6 years of age at the YMCA for 8 years. She also worked at extended care with Pre-K - 5th Graders for 2 years. While not at Primrose she likes to hike, swim, or kayak with her friends on the river. We are so excited to have her on our team!
Ms. Shelby joined the Primrose School of Shady Hollow in November 2022. Her previous experience includes babysitting for friends and family since age 12, being a leader of parents night out at a children's indoor play gym, and nannying for a 9-14 month old. While not at Primrose she enjoys hanging out with her one eyed cat, Binx. She also enjoys making cross stitch patches, embroidering, and watching movies/TV shows. We are so excited to have her on our team!
Mrs. Jennifer joined the Primrose School of Shady Hollow in October 2022. Her previous experience includes 25 years of working with children aging from 2 years of age to 12 years of age. While not at Primrose she enjoys spending time with her family, reading books to her grandchildren, making wreathes, and going on family vacations. We are so excited to have her on our team!
Ms. Crystal joined the Primrose School of Shady Hollow in November 2022. Her previous experience includes working with children aging from Infants through five year olds. While not at Primrose, enjoys listening to music, reading, and spending time with her family.
Ms. Kennedy joined the Primrose School of Shady Hollow in January 2023. Her previous experience includes helping out in her moms classrooms with children ranging from 2 - 6 years of age. While not at Primrose she likes to participate in plays/musicals, watch movies, and hang out with her cat. We are so excited to have her on our team!
Ms. Kai joined the Primrose School of Shady Hollow in February 2023. Her previous experience includes being a TA for 3 years in a lifeskills special education classroom in high school and middle school. While not at Primrose she likes to go hiking and swimming. We are so excited to have her on our team!
Ms. Yazmine joined the Primrose School of Shady Hollow in January 2023. Her previous experience includes working with children aging from Infants - 10 year olds for 7 years. While not at Primrose she enjoys hanging out with her friends, working out, and shopping. We are so excited to have her on our team!
Ms. Analicia joined the Primrose School of Shady Hollow in February 2023. Her previous experience includes working with children ranging from 3 months - afterschool aged. While not at Primrose she enjoys reading many books! We are so excited to have her on our team!
Ms. J'Lynn joined the Primrose School of Shady Hollow back in summer of 2021. She was born and raised in Cypress, TX. Her previous experience includes working with infants through elementary aged children. While not at Primrose, she enjoys going to the pool and river. J'Lynn is most excited about meeting all of the new friends.
Ms. Michela joined the Primrose School of Shady Hollow in August 2022. Her previous experience includes working with children ranging from 0 - 12 years old for 5 years in many different settings. Such as, play crew member, assistant teacher, afterschool teacher, and a substitude teacher. While not at Primrose she likes watching movies, hanging out with friends, and taking a nap. We are so excited to have her on our team!
Ms. Evynne joined the Primrose School of Shady Hollow in April 2022. She was born and raised in Seabrook, TX. Her previous experience includes working with children ranging from infants to children 5-year old's. While not at Primrose, she enjoys floating the river. Evynne is most excited about gaining more experience in childcare and using what she has learned in her college classes, in the classrooms here at Primrose.
Ms. Catherine joined the Primrose School of Shady Hollow in June 2022. She was born and raised in Austin, TX. Her previous experience includes working with children 4 years of age to 12 years of age for 5 years on and off. While not at Primrose, she enjoys going out and meeting new people.

I'm Lisa Hegner, the proud owner of Primrose School of Shady Hollow.
Our Primrose journey began when I was pregnant with our first child as we started to explore high-quality childcare center options in the area. My husband, Keith, and I fell in love with Primrose the second we walked into the school and immediately wanted to enroll. While we were waitlisted, this just further proved to us that there was something special about this school. It was clear that Primrose creates a fun, educational and nurturing environment for each child and family.
Prior to opening our Primrose School, I worked in Human Resources for large corporate enterprises for 15 years. Over the years I have yearned to invest my time and energy into a local business of my own. I have seen the positive impact that Primrose has had on children served; socially, emotionally and intellectually that I decided that I wanted to open a Primrose school.
Austin is home, and I take great pride in bringing an exceptional academic program to our community. It is my mission for Primrose School of Shady Hallow to be a place full of laughter, learning and growth where families are able to have a peace of mind knowing that their little ones are cared for. I am excited to meet you and your family!
