Franchise Owners

Dr. Zehra Chawla and Syed Ali

Meet Dr. Zehra and Syed, proud Franchise Owners of the Primrose School of Richardson. As longtime residents of Texas, this husband-and-wife team has personally faced the challenges of finding high-quality care for their young children. They are excited to provide a nurturing environment that fosters a love of learning for families in the Richardson community

Initially hesitant to send their first child to school before the age of two, Zehra and Syed began exploring childcare options when their at-home nanny was no longer available. Their search led them to a Primrose school in their area, where they immediately fell in love with the welcoming atmosphere and engaging curriculum. They enrolled their oldest daughter, Arissa, at just seven months old. As working parents, Zehra and Syed were deeply appreciative of the peace of mind that Primrose offered, knowing their daughter was in a safe, nurturing environment that supported her early learning and social development. Shortly after Arissa joined Primrose, Zehra and Syed noticed significant developmental progress and were impressed by the impact of the Balanced Learning® curriculum and Character Development programs on her growth. Inspired by this experience, they enrolled their two younger children, Alayna and Aiden, at Primrose, and all three are now proud graduates of the Primrose School of Richardson.

“We saw such positive changes and growth in our oldest daughter, Arissa, that we knew Primrose was the right choice for her development,” said Zehra. “Even before having our second child, we decided to become Primrose Franchise Owners so we could share this exceptional experience with other families.”

Originally from Houston, Dr. Zehra earned a Bachelor’s degree in History with a Minor in Chemistry from the University of Houston and later completed her Doctorate in Optometry. Before becoming a Franchise Owner, she worked in various Ophthalmology and Optometry practices, including one in Richardson. Now, she actively manages the school while balancing life as a mother of three. Syed, Vice President Cyber Security, earned his degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nevada. With the background in EE and a passion for his current field of Cyber security, he remains deeply involved in supporting the school’s mission.

“As a mother of three, I understand how hard it is to find the perfect environment that combines a fun, loving atmosphere with a focus on all aspects of a child’s development,” said Zehra. “Our goal is to create a place where parents feel confident that their children are receiving the best foundation to grow into happy, healthy, and successful adults who love learning.”

The Primrose School of Richardson offers the exclusive, research-based Balanced Learning® curriculum, blending teacher-guided instruction with child-initiated play and an emphasis on character development. The school serves children from infancy through kindergarten, helping them develop Active Minds, Healthy Bodies, and Happy Hearts. Zehra and Syed are thrilled to bring this enriching experience to the Richardson community and look forward to making a positive impact on local families.

Our family would love to meet yours.
