Welcome to our school! We are proud to bring Primrose to Ponte Vedra and the Nocatee community! As parents, we know first-hand how difficult it is to find safe, trustworthy, nurturing, high-quality childcare. We were shocked when we researched and toured childcare centers and how few we felt comfortable even considering for our children.
We were unhappy and disappointed with the options and with the childcare our children attended. This led us to further research and discovering Primrose Schools. The dedicated Education Department, Balanced Learning, character development and commitment to providing a safe, nurturing environment convinced us to become Franchise Owners and a Primrose family for life!
We decided to change careers (Ken, IT and Susan, Law) and move from Maryland to Florida in 2007 and purchased Primrose Schools at St. Johns Forest and Primrose School of Julington Creek (2007-2016). We then built Primrose School of Glen Kernan (2012-2024) and Primrose School of Ponte Vedra at Nocatee (originally named Primrose School on Crosswater Parkway, 2017-present). We are passionate about providing all that Primrose School has to offer and ensuring children are safe, happy and given the best character and educational foundations for their future.
We recognize the importance of Early Childhood Care and Education and are committed to being your partner in your child’s development. Are all staff members background-checked and CPR/first-aid certified?
Yes. Every Primrose staff member undergoes a thorough background check before joining our school. All staff are also CPR and first–aid certified, so you can feel confident your child is in safe, prepared hands every day.
What curriculum or educational philosophy do you follow?
Our school uses the proprietary Primrose Schools Balanced Learning® curriculum, which is research-informed and designed to nurture the whole child — intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically. We believe in balancing teacher-guided learning with purposeful play to build a strong foundation for the future.
How do you support school readiness and the transition to kindergarten?
All of our programs are designed in age-appropriate ways to prepare children for kindergarten and beyond. We focus on early literacy and numeracy as well as social-emotional skill development — so children arrive at kindergarten confident and ready to thrive. 96% of Primrose Schools Pre-K students met ASQ benchmarks for problem solving.*
What are your hours of operation?
We are open Monday through Friday from 7:00 am-6:30 pm.
How do you keep parents informed about their child's day?
Connecting school to home is one of the ways we help children thrive. We use the Procare app to share daily updates and photos so you stay connected to your child’s joy, learning and special moments
