Franchise Owner
Keri and Carl Stoltz
As parents themselves, Carl and Keri understand how important it is for families to feel confident, connected, and supported when choosing a school for their children. Over the years, they have loved watching Primrose Midtown become a trusted part of the community, serving families from Midtown, Morningside, Virginia-Highland, Ansley Park, and beyond.
Carl and Keri are especially proud of the warm, dedicated team they have built and the nurturing environment they have created for children, families, and staff. Their goal has always been to make Primrose Midtown feel like more than a school — a place where children are known, families feel welcome, and teachers are valued.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are all staff members background-checked and CPR/first-aid certified?
Yes. Every Primrose staff member undergoes a thorough background check before joining our school. All staff are also CPR and first–aid certified, so you can feel confident your child is in safe, prepared hands every day.
What curriculum or educational philosophy do you follow?
Our school uses the proprietary Primrose Schools Balanced Learning® curriculum, which is research-informed and designed to nurture the whole child — intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically. We believe in balancing teacher-guided learning with purposeful play to build a strong foundation for the future.
How do you support school readiness and the transition to kindergarten?
All of our programs are designed in age-appropriate ways to prepare children for kindergarten and beyond. What is your policy for school closures?
We follow a structured calendar with planned days off communicated in advance for the year. For any unexpected closures — including weather-related closures — we will communicate them as early as possible.
How do you accommodate children with allergies or special medical needs?
Health and safety is our top priority, and we work closely with families to accommodate allergies and medical needs. We ask that parents provide detailed information during enrollment so we can create a safe plan for their child. All Primrose schools are nut-free facilities.
What are the qualifications and early childhood education backgrounds of your teachers?
Our teachers are carefully selected for their passion for early childhood education. All lead teachers hold or are working toward a degree or credential in early childhood education or a related field. We also provide ongoing professional development to ensure our educators stay current with the latest research and best practices.

What security measures are in place at drop-off and pick-up?
At Primrose School of Midtown, safety is something we take very seriously and review on an ongoing basis. Our school has a Safe School Plan, and our team is trained on emergency procedures including fire drills, evacuation procedures, lockdown procedures, and child supervision expectations. We also conduct an annual off-site evacuation drill to the Woodruff Arts Center with support from Colony Square Security and Woodruff Arts Security.
Our building has secure access procedures, and all visitors must enter through the front desk, sign in, and show identification. Children are only released to authorized adults after identity is confirmed. We also work closely with Colony Square Security, have emergency panic buttons in key areas of the school, and have APD presence regularly in the area.
In addition to building security, we have detailed health and classroom safety protocols. We are a nut-free school, do not allow outside food, carefully review food orders and ingredient labels, maintain individualized allergy care plans, and train staff on allergy response and EpiPen use. We also have LifeVac devices available, including in classrooms, and our team has been trained on how to use them.
Our teachers are trained to actively supervise children, report any unsafe conditions immediately, and document and communicate incidents appropriately. We also maintain daily safety expectations such as secure sign-in/sign-out, no hot beverages in child areas, safe hallway procedures, medication controls, and keeping choking hazards or unsafe personal items away from children.
Overall, our goal is to combine strong emergency planning, secure access, trained staff, thoughtful health protocols, and consistent daily supervision so that children are cared for in a safe, protected, and well-managed environment.
What is your sick child policy?
We ask that children stay home for at least 24 hours if they have a fever, are vomiting or show symptoms of a contagious illness. This helps keep our entire school community healthy. If your child becomes ill during the day, we will contact you promptly
Are meals and snacks provided?
Yes, our school provides nutritious meals and snacks, and it’s all included in tuition. Breakfast, lunch and snacks throughout the day are prepared by our chef and served to the classrooms.
What is the enrollment process?
Getting started is easy! Simply reach out to schedule a tour, and we’ll walk you through everything — from our programs and classrooms to tuition and next steps. We can’t wait to meet your family.
Is your preschool licensed and accredited?
Primrose School of Midtown is fully licensed by the state of Georgia and is accredited by Cognia to ensure high-quality care and education.
How do you handle staff training and ongoing education?
All of our teachers and staff members are required to complete annual professional development training, including first-aid and CPR
certification, child development coursework, and curriculum workshops. We also host monthly in-house training sessions where our team collaborates on best practices and stays current with the latest research in early childhood education. We believe that investing in our staff leads to a better experience for every child in our care
Do you offer outdoor play or field trips?
Yes! We believe fresh air and hands-on exploration are essential parts of a well-rounded education. Children enjoy daily outdoor play in our safe, age-appropriate playground areas, and starting in pre-k classes participate in seasonal field trips to local parks, museums, and community landmarks throughout the year. All field trips are carefully planned with safety and learning goals in mind, and families receive advance notice with permission forms.
