Franchise Owners
David and Katie Giancola
Hello! We are David and Katie Giancola, the proud owners of The Primrose School of Lewis Center, since 2022.
Our journey with The Primrose School of Lewis Center began when we were pregnant with our oldest child. Like many of you, we spent time touring childcare facilities, we did our research, listed questions to ask about education, safety, and environment and analyzed every detail to make sure that we were selecting the best for our family. We knew from the minute we learned about the Balanced Learning curriculum, family-focused culture, along with the tenured staff, this was where our family belonged. Little did we know that eight years after our initial search for childcare, we would be so invested in the culture—the “Primrose Family”—that we would be purchasing this school with the desire to provide others with the same learning foundation that our family has been fortunate to experience. Over the years, all three of our children attended our Primrose school, starting as Young Infants through Private Kindergarten.
As a family, our guiding principles include acting with respect, being honest and inclusive, communicating transparently and always striving to do the right thing. You can expect us to demonstrate these principles everyday as we look to maintain and build upon the solid foundation at The Primrose School of Lewis Center.
We truly believe that what we do matters. Our kids matter. Our teachers matter. You matter.
Who children become is as important as what they know is a belief that is at the core of our Balanced Learning® approach. Our exclusive early learning approach balances purposeful play with nurturing guidance from teachers to encourage curiosity, creativity, confidence and compassion. We deliver more than a curriculum; it’s a life-changing early learning experience for children and their families.
We are humbled by the opportunity to welcome you each day as a Primrose family. Thank you for the opportunity!

Frequently Asked Questions
Are all staff members background-checked and CPR/first-aid certified?
Yes. Every Primrose staff member undergoes a thorough background check before joining our school. All staff are also CPR and first–aid certified, so you can feel confident your child is in safe, prepared hands every day.
What curriculum or educational philosophy do you follow?
Our school uses the proprietary Primrose Schools Balanced Learning® curriculum, which is research-informed and designed to nurture the whole child — intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically. We believe in balancing teacher-guided learning with purposeful play to build a strong foundation for the future.
How do you support school readiness and the transition to kindergarten?
All of our programs are designed in age-appropriate ways to prepare children for kindergarten and beyond. We focus on early literacy and numeracy as well as social-emotional skill development — so children arrive at kindergarten confident and ready to thrive. 96% of Primrose Schools Pre-K students met ASQ benchmarks for problem solving.*
What are your hours of operation?
We are open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am-6:00 pm.
How do you keep parents informed about their child's day?
Connecting school to home is one of the ways we help children thrive. We use the Procare app to share daily updates and photos so you stay connected to your child’s joy, learning and special moments
Do you offer a summer program?
Yes! In addition to our year-round classrooms for children ages 0–5, we offer Summer Adventure Club for elementary school students in kindergarten through 5th grade. Our summer program uses hands-on activities and rotating weekly themes to keep children engaged while continuing to support their development.
How do you accommodate children with allergies or special medical needs?
Health and safety is our top priority, and we work closely with families to accommodate allergies and medical needs. We ask that parents provide detailed information during enrollment so we can create a safe plan for their child. All Primrose schools are nut-free facilities.
What is your policy for school closures?
We follow a structured calendar with planned days off communicated in advance for the year. For any unexpected closures — including weather-related closures — we will communicate them as early as possible.
