Welcome to Primrose School of Lakehill, where exceptional early childhood education begins with passionate, hands-on leadership. We are Mike and Christine Edwards, proud Franchise Owners of Primrose School of Lakehill in Frisco, Texas, conveniently located near The Star in Frisco. Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing environment where children build confidence, develop a love of learning, and thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

As active owners, we are involved in the daily life of our school and believe that strong relationships with our students, families, and teachers are the foundation of an outstanding educational experience. We are committed to making Primrose School of Lakehill the trusted choice for preschool, child care, and early childhood education in Frisco.

Mike is a lifelong resident of the Dallas-Fort Worth area and earned his Business degree from the University of North Texas. Christine began her career in early childhood education in 2002 as a preschool teacher before becoming the Director of a Primrose School. In 2013, we became the Franchise Owners of Primrose School of Lakehill, and in 2020, after a successful career in retail management, Mike joined Christine full time to help lead the school each day.

Together, we have four children and seven wonderful grandchildren. We have been blessed to have six of our youngest grandchildren attend Primrose School of Lakehill, giving us firsthand experience with the impact of the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum. Watching them learn, grow, and develop a lifelong love of learning has strengthened our commitment to providing the same exceptional experience for every child who walks through our doors.

Are all staff members background-checked and CPR/first-aid certified?

Yes. Every Primrose staff member undergoes a thorough background check before joining our school. All staff are also CPR and firstaid certified, so you can feel confident your child is in safe, prepared hands every day.

What curriculum or educational philosophy do you follow?

Our school uses the proprietary Primrose Schools Balanced Learning® curriculum, which is research-informed and designed to nurture the whole child — intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically. We believe in balancing teacher-guided learning with purposeful play to build a strong foundation for the future.

How do you support school readiness and the transition to kindergarten? 

All of our programs are designed in age-appropriate ways to prepare children for kindergarten and beyond. We focus on early literacy and numeracy as well as social-emotional skill development — so children arrive at kindergarten confident and ready to thrive. 96% of Primrose Schools Pre-K students met ASQ benchmarks for problem solving.*

What are your hours of operation? 

We are open Monday through Friday from 6:30 am-6:00 pm.

How do you keep parents informed about their child's day?

Connecting school to home is one of the ways we help children thrive. We use the Procare app to share daily updates and photos so you stay connected to your child’s joy, learning and special moments

Is your school conveniently located near the Dallas North Tollway?

Yes, we are conveniently located near Warren Parkway and Legacy Drive and serve families from Frisco, The Colony and North Plano. We are close to The Star, Hall Office Park and Legacy West.

What is your tuition rate?

Our tuition varies by classroom and is posted on our website. We want you to know up front what you will be paying for your child’s care.

Are you accredited? What curriculum do you use?

We are Cognia certified. A full certification is conducted every 5 years and yearly evidences are required in subsequent years.
