Zeel & Ritesh Patel

Hi, we’re the Patels! We are so excited to welcome you to Primrose School of Glen Allen.

For me, Zeel, opening a Primrose School feels incredibly full circle. My very first job was at St. John’s Daycare when I was just 14 years old. I went on to work in other childcare settings before pursuing a career in healthcare and eventually entrepreneurship, but my love for children and those important early years never left me.

Years later, when my husband, Ritesh, and I became parents to our daughters, Ariana and Lily, we experienced Primrose from the other side, as parents. Both of our girls attended Primrose, and we saw firsthand the impact their teachers, classroom experiences and early education had on them. We trusted Primrose with the two most important people in our lives, and that experience is a big part of why opening our own school means so much to us.

Ritesh is a Virginia Tech graduate with a degree in Food, Nutrition and Exercise Physiology, and together we have spent years building businesses, leading teams and serving our community.

As parents, we know choosing who will care for your child is one of the biggest decisions you make. Our hope is that Primrose School of Glen Allen feels like more than a school. We want it to feel like a community where your children are loved, known, challenged and celebrated, and where you feel completely comfortable leaving them each day.

We can’t wait to welcome your family and share a place that has already meant so much to ours.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are all staff members background-checked and CPR/first-aid certified?

Yes. Every Primrose staff member undergoes a thorough background check before joining our school. All staff are also CPR and first–aid certified, so you can feel confident your child is in safe, prepared hands every day.

What curriculum or educational philosophy do you follow?

Our school uses the proprietary Primrose Schools Balanced Learning® curriculum, which is research-informed and designed to nurture the whole child — intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically. We believe in balancing teacher-guided learning with purposeful play to build a strong foundation for the future.

How do you support school readiness and the transition to kindergarten?

All of our programs are designed in age-appropriate ways to prepare children for kindergarten and beyond. We focus on early literacy and numeracy as well as social-emotional skill development — so children arrive at kindergarten confident and ready to thrive. 96% of Primrose Schools Pre-K students met ASQ benchmarks for problem solving.*

What are your hours of operation?

We are open Monday through Friday from 6:00 am-6:00 pm.

How do you keep parents informed about their child's day?

Connecting school to home is one of the ways we help children thrive. We use the Procare app to share daily updates and photos so you stay connected to your child’s joy, learning and special moments

Our family would love to meet yours.
