Welcome to Primrose School of Fulshear! We are proud to bring high-quality preschool and child care to young children and families in the Fulshear, Texas, community.

As parents of two boys, Grant and Travis, we’ve seen firsthand the incredible impact a thoughtful, nurturing early learning experience can have as children grow into confident young adults. Watching our niece thrive through the Primrose experience and our own journey into parenthood inspired us to become owners of the Primrose School at Waterside Estates in 2017. Now, we are honored to bring that same trusted Primrose experience to families here in Fulshear.

We grew up in the Katy area as high school sweethearts and later attended Sam Houston State University, where we both earned degrees in Agri-Business and Secondary Education. Our shared passion for education and children guides everything we do, and we proudly live by the Primrose mission to forge a path that leads to a brighter future for all children.

At Primrose, we believe who children become is as important as what they know. Our exclusive early learning approach balances purposeful play with nurturing guidance from teachers to encourage curiosity, creativity, confidence and compassion. We deliver more than a curriculum; it’s a life-changing experience for children and their families.

We are excited to meet you and your family!

Frequently Asked Questions

Are all staff members background-checked and CPR/first-aid certified?

Yes. Every Primrose staff member undergoes a thorough background check before joining our school. All staff are also CPR and firstaid certified, so you can feel confident your child is in safe, prepared hands every day.

What curriculum or educational philosophy do you follow?

Our school uses the proprietary Primrose Schools Balanced Learning® curriculum, which is research-informed and designed to nurture the whole child — intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically. We believe in balancing teacher-guided learning with purposeful play to build a strong foundation for the future.

How do you support school readiness and the transition to kindergarten?

All of our programs are designed in age-appropriate ways to prepare children for kindergarten and beyond. We focus on early literacy and numeracy as well as social-emotional skill development — so children arrive at kindergarten confident and ready to thrive. 96% of Primrose Schools Pre-K students met ASQ benchmarks for problem solving.*

What are your hours of operation?

We are open Monday through Friday from 6:30 am-6:00 pm.

How do you keep parents informed about their child's day?

Connecting school to home is one of the ways we help children thrive. We use the Procare app to share daily updates and photos so you stay connected to your child’s joy, learning and special moments

How do you accommodate children with allergies or special medical needs?

Health and safety is our top priorityand we work closely with families to accommodate allergies and medical needs. We ask that parents provide detailed information during enrollment so we can create a safe plan for their child. All Primrose schools are nut-free facilities.

What is your policy for school closures?

We follow a structured calendar with planned days off communicated in advance for the year. For any unexpected closures — including weather-related closures — we will communicate them as early as possible.

What security measures are in place at drop-off and pick-up?

The safety of your child is our top priority. Our school uses a secure keypad entry system, and only authorized individuals are permitted
to pick up your child.

What is your sick child policy?

We ask that children stay home for at least 24 hours if they have a fever,
are vomiting or show symptoms of a contagious illness. This helps keep our entire school community healthy. If your child becomes ill during the day, we will contact you promptly.

Can parents visit or observe during the day?

We maintain an open-door policy and welcome parent visits. You must check in at the front office upon arrival so we can welcome you properly and minimize disruption to classroom routines.

Do you offer parent-teacher conferences or progress updates?

We hold regular parent-teacher conferences and provide ongoing communication about your child’s development so you feel like a true partner in your child’s growth. This includes using Ages & Stages Questionnaires®, normed
academic measures and Evidence of Learning Portfolios to track your child’s progress so we can personalize their learning experience.

How do you handle staff training and ongoing education?

All of our teachers and staff members are required to complete annual professional development training, including first-aid and CPR
certification, child development coursework and curriculum workshops. We also host monthly in-house training sessions where our team collaborates on best practices and stays current with the latest research in early childhood education. We believe that investing in our staff leads to a better experience for every child in our care.

Do you offer outdoor play or field trips?

Yes! We believe fresh air and hands-on exploration are essential
parts of a well-rounded education. Children enjoy daily outdoor play in our safe, age-appropriate playground areas, and starting in our summer explorer program participate in seasonal field trips to local parks, museums, farms, and community landmarks throughout the year. All field trips are carefully planned with safety and learning goals in mind, and families receive advance notice with permission forms.

Do you offer after school care for elementary-aged children?

Yes, we offer after school care for children in kindergarten through 5th grade, available from dismissal until 6:00 PM on school days. Our program
provides a structured yet relaxed environment where children can complete homework with staff support, enjoy a healthy snack and participate in enrichment activities and free play. Contact our office to learn about availability and pricing.
