Our Infant Classroom

We know the first year of life can have a big influence on a child’s success in the years that follow. That’s why teachers in your child’s Infant classroom provide a loving and nurturing environment as they lay the foundation for learning. This includes literacy; communication and vocabulary skills to help your infant better express their needs; gross motor skills and sensory development; and emotional well-being.

Health & Safety

At Primrose, the health and safety of our children, families, and staff remain our highest priority.
We are committed to maintaining a caring, nurturing, and clean environment where every child can learn, grow, and thrive. Our schools follow robust health and safety practices each day, including:

  • Strict illness protocols: Children or staff showing symptoms of respiratory illness or fever are required to go home and remain home until they are fever-free for at least 24 hours.

  • Frequent sanitizing: High-touch toys and surfaces are disinfected throughout the day to help limit the spread of germs.

  • Handwashing routines: Handwashing is embedded in our curriculum and daily protocols, with children and staff washing hands frequently and at key transition times.

  • Staff training: Teachers receive ongoing training on common signs of illness in young children, and each classroom includes signage to help keep these reminders top of mind.

  • Clean rest routines: Infant crib sheets are laundered daily. Older children have individual cots and blankets that are stored separately and washed weekly.

  • Safe classroom ratios: We maintain appropriate teacher-to-student ratios to ensure safety, supervision, and quality care.

  • Health & safety certification: All staff participate in continuous safety training, including First Aid and CPR.

  • Safe School Plans: Each classroom has an up-to-date, customized Safe School Plan posted for immediate access in any emergency.

Thank you for partnering with us to keep our school community safe and healthy! If you have any questions about our protocols, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Our family would love to meet yours.
