Welcome to Primrose School of Duluth West! We are proud to bring high-quality preschool and child care to families in the Duluth community. As mothers and lifelong advocates for education, we believe every child deserves a nurturing environment where they can grow in character and confidence.
I’m Sofia Choudhry, and after 24 years in leadership roles—including a decade at Deloitte and Accenture and executive positions at The Coca-Cola Company—I wanted to open a school that supports working families. With an MBA from Georgia Tech and a passion for mentoring women leaders, I’m excited to bring that vision to life at Primrose.
My partner, Anjum Waqar, is a retired executive biochemist with 28 years at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, where she led the Nutrition Branch. Her expertise in safety, compliance and nutrition ensures our school meets the highest standards. Anjum has also championed early literacy through community programs.
At Primrose, we believe who children become is as important as what they know. Our exclusive early learning approach balances purposeful play with nurturing guidance from teachers to encourage curiosity, creativity, confidence and compassion. We deliver more than a curriculum; it’s a life-changing experience for children and their families. We are excited to meet you and your family!
