Health & Safety
Our school is committed to high standards of safety and cleanliness as we create a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
- Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours
- Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
- Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
- Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
- Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
- Ensuring appropriate teacher-student classroom ratios
- Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
- Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access

Mrs. Colvin
Hello! My name is Mrs. Colvin, and I am a Pre-Kindergarten teacher and Teacher Mentor at Primrose. I hold a certificate in Early Childhood Education from Tolles and have seven years of experience working with children. In my free time, I enjoy crafting, baking, and spending time with my husband and dog. I look forward to getting to know your children and being a part of their learning journey. I can’t wait to meet you at Primrose and become an active member of our Primrose community!
Ms. Schuh
Hello, my name is Ms. Schuh, and I am a Pre-Kindergarten teacher at Primrose. I graduated from the Columbus College of Art and Design with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art. I have always enjoyed working with children of all ages, and I began my teaching journey three years ago. In my free time, I enjoy reading and pursuing my passion for illustration. I am excited to watch my students grow and learn this year!
Ms. Rensi
Hello! My name is Ms. Rensi, and I am excited to be part of the Primrose team! I grew up in Columbus, Ohio, and have always had a passion for working with children. My journey in early childhood education began by babysitting and volunteering in my church nursery, and I now have more than six years of professional experience working in childcare centers and as a nanny. In my free time, I enjoy making crafts, hiking, and spending time with my puppy. I look forward to getting to know our children and families and helping each child learn, grow, and thrive.
