Ms. McDonald
Ms. McDonald is the Assistant Director of Primrose School of Cross Creek and started her career in Early Childhood Education in 2018. Ms. McDonald is currently working on attaining her CDA in Early Childhood Education. Her early childhood education career has consisted of teaching specifically in infant and toddlers.
Mrs.Wise
Mrs. Wise is the Director of the Primrose School of Cross Creek and started her career in Early Childhood Education in 2010. Mrs. Wise holds a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education as well as a Director Credential. She started off at the Education Director back in 2019 and and got promoted in 2023.
Mrs. Wise supports our Education Director with professional development, mentoring, and appreciation of all our wonderful teaching staff.
Mrs. Puerta
Mrs. Puerta is the Education Coach at Primrose School of Cross Creek, where she brings years of experience, dedication, and passion for early childhood education. She began her journey with Primrose in 2018 as a Toddler Teacher, quickly establishing herself as a nurturing, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic educator.
In 2023, she joined the leadership team as Assistant Director, where she helped guide teachers, support families, and strengthen the school’s commitment to high-quality early learning. She now serves as the Education Coach, working closely with staff to elevate classroom practices, mentor educators, and ensure excellence across all programs.
Mrs. Puerta remains devoted to creating a positive, supportive environment where both children and teachers can thrive. Her leadership, compassion, and commitment continue to make a meaningful impact on the Primrose School of Cross Creek community.

My name is Matt Coombs and I am the proud owner of Primrose School of Cross Creek. My wife Dora and I share eleven beautiful children together. As a parent, I understand how difficult it can be to find both a safe and educational environment that also provides the exceptional level of care we all expect for our most precious gifts. I am beyond excited to be a part of the Primrose family and to share this amazing school with the Tampa Bay community.
I owned and operated a high-quality family child care program in Indiana for 15 years. In addition, I also have a Child Development Associate Credential in Family Childcare. My love and passion for early childhood education is what brought me to Primrose Schools. I am passionate about our mission to forge a path that leads to a brighter future for all children. I am dedicated to making a difference for all children and families by delivering high-quality early learning experiences that lead to the right foundation for continual learning in life. I am devoted to partnering with families to give children everywhere the opportunity to shine!
Raising our children in Indiana, I dreamed to deliver the best and most trusted early care and education for children and families across America. After a long journey, I knew Primrose was the best fit for my family and me. Through parental and work experiences, I recognize that quality early care and education with an emphasis on character development nurtures the foundation for future academic and personal success.
