Meet Olivia and Jarrad Vaughn proud Franchise Owners of Primrose School of Brookhaven. As Primrose parents, the Vaughns began their entrepreneurial journey in 2012. They are thrilled to bring the Primrose experience offering premier early education and care to families in the Brookhaven community. Olivia and Jarrad have two sons Ethan and Elliott. They first discovered Primrose in 2010 when they were searching for high-quality preschool providers for their oldest son Ethan while living in Midtown Atlanta. Wanting to have their children close to where they lived and worked, they enrolled Ethan in Primrose School of Midtown at Colony Square at just 12-weeks-old. Shortly after, their youngest son Elliott joined his brother at the school. Once open, both Ethan and Elliott will attend Primrose School of Brookhaven. Olivia, originally from California, attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she earned a bachelor's degree in organizational communications, as well as a master's degree in accounting, before relocating to Atlanta. Jarrad is an eighth generation native of Atlanta, having grown up in Marietta, and attended the University of Georgia where he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration with a focus in real estate. Jarrad is also an avid golfer and Olivia enjoys cycling when her schedule allows. Prior to becoming Franchise Owners, Olivia worked for a global investment management firm and before that as a tax accountant. Jarrad comes from a family of entrepreneurs and works as a real estate broker for his father's real estate company. He also previously served in the United States Army for four years and was deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan. The Vaughns bring many skills from their careers and experience as Primrose parents into their roles as Franchise Owners. When we enrolled our first son Ethan into Primrose School of Midtown at Colony Square, we saw first-hand the positive impact the Primrose experience had on him. Shortly after our youngest son Elliott was born, we immediately enrolled him, says Olivia. As working parents, we had peace of mind knowing that our boys were receiving high-quality early education and care to help them learn and grow. The Vaughn's goal is to provide an atmosphere where children can grow their Active Minds, Healthy Bodies and Happy HeartsŒ¬. At the school, Olivia will handle the day-to-day operations, working closely with parents, children and staff. Jarrad will also play an active role in supporting the school from an operational standpoint, while continuing to work as a real estate broker. Our decision to join the Primrose family as Franchise Owners was two-fold our children were excelling and succeeding in the Primrose program, and we wanted the opportunity to have more balance in our lives and spend more time with them, says Jarrad. After talking with other Franchise Owners and hearing their stories, we knew this was the right fit for us. We are so thrilled to be able to provide the same experience to Brookhaven children and families. Slated to open in early 2015, Primrose School of Brookhaven will feature the exclusive Balanced LearningŒ¬ curriculum for children ages 6 weeks to 6-years-old. Developed by, and taught exclusively at Primrose Schools, the research-based curriculum blends teacher-guided and child-initiated activities. Children who feel valued and included are better equipped to show kindness and compassion to others, including those who are different from themselves.
Each month we feature a classroom book that helps children feel a sense of belongingness. This month we sat down with Markette Sheppard to discuss her book “What Is Light?” and the message she wants to send to children.
To better meet the individual needs of every child, we’re proud to implement Ages & Stages Questionnaires® (ASQ®-3 and ASQ®:SE-2) in Primrose schools across the country.
Our new exclusive Harmony & Heart® program integrates our proprietary music and books in a variety of thoughtful ways each day. Through learning about music, while simultaneously being exposed to concepts in math, language, and character development, your child will grow as a musician, a student, and a person.
Each Primrose school is held to high standards of safety and cleanliness while maintaining a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
There’s no question that parents want their preschoolers to grasp the basics of colors, numbers and letters to foster a lifetime of learning.
It might seem odd to think about your preschooler exploring data analysis and algebra.
It's a fact: children learn better when they are engaged. That's why purposeful play and nurturing guidance from teachers are key components of Balanced Learning. See how this time-tested approach with a strong emphasis on life skills and character development can help your child develop and excel.
