Franchise Owners
Tom and Vikki Cheng
Meet Tom and Vikki Cheng – proud Franchise Owners of Primrose School of Bristow. Longtime residents of the greater Washington D.C. metro area, the Chengs opened the Primrose School of Bristow in July of 2015. They are thrilled to bring the Primrose experience, offering premier early education and care, to families in the Bristow community. Tom and Vikki have three daughters Abigail, Rebecca and Audrey. Back in their hometown of Gaithersburg, Md., the Chengs enrolled their two older daughters, Abigail and Rebecca, in an early education program but were uncertain their children were receiving the high-quality early education and care they deserved. In 2010, after researching more options for premier preschool providers, Tom and Vikki discovered Primrose Schools. After visiting and touring a school, they immediately fell in love with the Balanced Learning curriculum and knew it was the type of school they wished for their daughters to attend. The Chengs both come from entrepreneurial families and always knew they wanted to own their own business someday. After learning about the Primrose experience and the impact it has on a child’s development, they knew Primrose was the right fit for their family. Their youngest daughter, Audrey, graduated from the Primrose School of Bristow, and Abigail and Rebecca participated in the Primrose Explorers after-school program for children up to age 12. Prior to becoming Franchise Owners, Tom worked as an information technology manager in Federal contracting. Vikki currently works as a Vice President of technology company in the financial services industry. They met while studying at the University of Maryland where they both earned their bachelor’s degrees in information technology and finance. Vikki continued her education and also earned a master’s degree in business administration. “We understand the complexities of selecting an early child care provider,” said Tom. “There is nothing more important to us than ensuring our children are loved and cared for, while knowing they are receiving the best early education. We found that with Primrose, and we look forward to introducing Primrose School of Bristow to local families.” The Cheng’s goal is to provide an atmosphere where children can grow their Active Minds, Healthy Bodies and Happy Hearts. Primrose School of Bristow features the exclusive Balanced Learning curriculum for children ages 6 weeks to 6-years-old. Developed by and taught exclusively at Primrose Schools, the research-based curriculum blends teacher-guided and child-initiated activities with a special emphasis on character development.
