Mrs. Ulm
Born in Nebraska and raised in Goodland, Kansas, Mrs. Ulm earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Kansas and has called the Kansas City area home for over twenty years.
With more than 15 years of dedicated experience working with children across various capacities—including six years at Primrose School of Leawood—she brings a deep understanding of early childhood care and community to the team. Outside of school, Mrs. Ulm enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending time at the lake with her husband and their daughter. She is thrilled to join the Primrose School of Blue Valley community and looks forward to building meaningful relationships with each child and family!
Ms. Staten
Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Ms. Staten brings over a decade of early childhood leadership and classroom experience to Primrose School of Blue Valley. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from Pittsburg State University, beginning her teaching journey through student teaching in Parsons, Kansas, followed by dedicated substitute teaching.
For over 15 years, Ms. Staten has built an impressive foundation in child care, serving as a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher, Team Lead, and spending four years as Curriculum and Assistant Director at Primrose School of Leawood. Outside of school, she enjoys painting, creating various arts and crafts, and spending meaningful time with her family. Ms. Staten is eager to continue growing as an educational leader and looks forward to building lasting partnerships with our Blue Valley families!
Mrs. Hettinger
Born in Wisconsin and raised right here in Overland Park, Mrs.Hettinger brings a strong background in both Pre-K classroom teaching and early childhood management to the Primrose School of Blue Valley team. While continuing her higher education at Avila University, she is dedicated to fostering an engaging, nurturing environment where young learners thrive.
Mrs. Hettinger loves connecting with children of all ages, helping each student build confidence, curiosity, and foundational skills. Outside the classroom, she enjoys traveling to new destinations, savoring authentic Italian cuisine, and spending quality time with friends. Mrs. Hettinger is thrilled to be part of the Primrose School of Blue Valley family and looks forward to partnering with our parents and students throughout the school year!
Ms. Lehane
Born and raised in the Kansas City area, Ms. Lehane brings a strong background in child development and a genuine passion for early learning to the Primrose School of Blue Valley team. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Montana before returning home to work with young learners.
With years of hands-on childcare experience, Ms. Lehane is dedicated to creating a welcoming, supportive classroom environment where every child feels encouraged to explore and grow. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, creative writing, and watching classic comedy movies. Ms. Lehane is thrilled to be part of the Primrose community and looks forward to partnering with each student and family this year!

Sudha & Arjun Amaran are the owners of Primrose School of Blue Valley. They are longtime Johnson County residents. Caring for children is their passion.
