See What Preschool Families in Tampa Are Saying

Primrose School of Estero has been an absolute blessing for my family. My son has been attending for over two years, and now my infant daughter is there as well. From day one, the teachers and administrative team have been incredibly warm, loving, and genuinely invested in the wellbeing of every child who walks through the doors. I briefly tried moving my son to another daycare, but the difference in care and connection was immediate, and not in a good way. I quickly brought him back to Primrose because nothing compares to the level of compassion and consistency he receives here. The staff know my kids so well, they celebrate their milestones, and comfort them on tough days. They truly feel like an extension of my family. The environment is safe, nurturing, and thoughtfully structured to support both emotional and academic growth. Every day, my kids are greeted with smiles, hugs, encouragement, and a sense of belonging. I've watched my son flourish socially and developmentally, and I feel completely at ease knowing my daughter is receiving the same exceptional care. I can't recommend Primrose School of Estero highly enough. If you're looking for a daycare where your children will be genuinely loved, supported, and seen, this is the place.

The school is very well run by the Administration. The teachers and staff are very caring. Everyone knows and greets our child by name. We get a lot of feedback about her day with daily updates that include pictures and tell us about her day, what she is learning, whether she ate her meals and how much, how long she napped etc. There are always a lot of interesting things going on each week. I feel Primrose provide a safe and secure learning environment. And the most important thing, is that everyday our child, uses some new words or brings up some new things that she's learned in school or asks an interesting question or presents an interesting fact and I can visibly see the results of her education in the progress that she is making which has been impressive. She is our second child with Primrose with good reason Highly recommended!

Both of my kids have attended primrose since early infancy (about 3 months) and we have never felt any apprehension about sending them to school. In fact, we have always felt comfort and confidence knowing our kids are in good hands. There are so many teachers that my kids have adored and loved which makes me feel more comfortable sending them to school! They have both learned so much and have developed so well while at Primrose. We could not be happier.

Our experience at Primrose has been everything we hoped for and more. From day one, the warm and welcoming environment made my daughter feel right at home. Her teachers have been absolutely wonderful. They genuinely care about each child and go above and beyond to make sure my child feels supported, encouraged, and excited to learn. It's clear they put so much heart into what they do, and the bond she has formed with them is something we'll always be grateful for. The curriculum keeps her engaged and curious, and we love seeing how much she's growing - not just academically, but socially and emotionally too. She's gained confidence, made wonderful friends, and comes home each day eager to share what she learned. Communication with parents is excellent, so we always feel connected and in the loop.

Primrose at Westchase has been amazing. The office staff and management is warm and welcoming. The school teachers are nice, well spoken, caring and observant. With a good student-teacher ratio, I could not have asked for more for both my boys. There is particular attention to curriculum, cleanliness and all-round development. Lastly they go out of the way to keep the kids safe secure and healthy at all times with timely notifications and messages about sick children in your class.

Primrose welcomes 3-year-olds into the Preschool classroom in Tampa, the bridge between Toddler and Pre-Kindergarten.

Their teacher already knows their personality and learning style well before Preschool begins, since most children stay with the same Primrose school as they grow.

Primrose Preschool classrooms are grounded in Balanced Learning®, an approach built specifically for our schools and refined over more than 40 years.

Our approach pairs STEAM exploration and early literacy practice like Primrose Friends Handwriting with purposeful play, so teachers can nurture a lifelong love of learning in each child. Instead of splitting the day into "academic time" and "play time," Primrose teachers fold both together, so your child builds confidence to explore, ask questions and try new things throughout the day.

Your child's Preschool classroom in Tampa builds on three pillars: Active Minds, Healthy Bodies and Happy Hearts®.

  • Active Minds covers Language and Literacy, Mathematics, Science, Engineering and Technology, and Social Studies, building the critical-thinking skills your preschooler needs to make sense of their expanding world.
  • Healthy Bodies covers Thumbs Up!: Physical Development and Health and Balanced Menus: Nutrition, helping your preschooler build strength, coordination and habits that support a growing body.
  • Happy Hearts covers the Happy Hearts Character Development Program® & Life Skills, Harmony & Heart®: Music, Movement and Literature, and Primrose Early Art Masters®: Creative Arts and Expression, building character and creativity through books, music and hands-on activities.

Teachers weave all three pillars into daily play and routine, so your child builds real skills while enjoying childhood.

Yes. Every Primrose teacher completes a background check, CPR certification and First Aid training before leading a Preschool classroom in Tampa.

That standard holds true everywhere, from South Tampa out to Wesley Chapel and Lakewood Ranch.

Every Primrose Preschool classroom in Tampa keeps safety woven into the daily routine, from secure entry systems and background-checked teachers to low teacher-to-child ratios that keep every 3-year-old within easy reach.

Teachers count heads before and after every transition, including outdoor time. Throughout the day, we disinfect high-touch toys and surfaces and guide children through regular handwashing before meals and after outdoor play. They're trained to recognize common signs of illness, and signage in every classroom serves as a reminder.

Regular fire and safety drills give preschoolers practice with these routines in a calm, age-appropriate way, and schools follow clear health protocols throughout the day.

Exact outdoor features vary by location, since each Primrose school is independently owned and operated. Visit the school page or schedule a tour to explore their outdoor space.

Your child carries the STEAM experiences and early literacy practice they build in Preschool directly into Pre-Kindergarten, so the transition feels like a natural next step rather than a fresh start.

Teachers will track your child's progress throughout the Preschool year, giving your child's future Pre-Kindergarten teacher a head start on understanding their strengths.

At Primrose, we are dedicated to regular communication with parents. Your Preschool teacher will send updates throughout the day through our dedicated app, sharing photos and notes on activities, friendships and small milestones, the moments you'd otherwise only hear about secondhand.

You can message your child's teacher directly during school hours, and most families also catch up in person at drop-off and pickup.
