Primrose School would love to meet your family.
Schedule A TourMy husband Travis and I would like to welcome you to Primrose School of Woodbury. We are the proud owners and operators of the Primrose School of Woodbury. We have 2 beautiful children (Primrose School of Woodbury graduates) who attend East Ridge High School in Woodbury. Our love for family and passion for community are what encouraged us to open our Primrose School. After researching child care and early learning options while living in Denver Colorado when our son was born, we stumbled upon Primrose Schools and were so impressed with the level of care, and education provided to the children there. We moved home to Minnesota in 2004 to be closer to our own families. When we couldn't find a program that compared to, or exceeded our Primrose Schools experience, we decided to build the Primrose School of Woodbury. We first opened our doors in October 2007, we have found great satisfaction in working with high-quality, dedicated early learning educators to provide the nurturing and educational environment we so firmly believe lays the foundation for future success. We continue to be amazed by Primrose's outstanding approach to education, the accredited curriculum, enrichment and character development programs. We believe in the importance of early literacy, and are proud of our Primrose Schools partnerships with many local and national non-profit organizations, including Save the Children, MN Safe Kids Coalition, Gillette Children's Hospital, Feed My Starving Children and many more. We believe our partnerships with these organizations will be forever valuable in teaching children that no matter how big or small, we all stand to make a difference in the world. We believe so strongly in the power of our community, and believe our Primrose School will grow leaders. Woodbury is our home, we live just down the road and we appreciate seeing our neighbors attend Primrose School with us. We're at Primrose every day, and take great pride in bringing an exceptional academic program to our community. We look forward to meeting you and to Primrose exceeding your expectations.
We aren’t just a daycare in Woodbury – we are a premier early education and child care experience for children and families. We are conveniently located just minutes down the road from Brookview Elementary School on City Walk Drive.

Happy Anniversary to these awesome gentlemen. We are so happy to have you both as a part of our Primrose team. Mr. Hamlin, thank you for feeding our staff, students (and sometimes families) each and every day! We sure are lucky to have you! Mr. Sager, our school agers love the constant support you give them each morning and afternoon. We appreciate you both for all you do for the children in our care. Thank you!
Practicing kindness in and outside of the classroom will help children's character development. Learn more about nurturing compassion in this parent resource.
Congratulations to our January Apple of Our Eye, Mrs. James! You have been such an amazing, consistent teacher in our Pre-Kindergarten program. We know your students and families enjoy seeing you each and every day. Thank you for your continued flexibility and willingness to help out wherever we need you throughout the building. We appreciate you so much!
Each February, students at Primrose schools across the country collect their favorite books to donate to local libraries, hospitals, schools and nonprofit organizations.
Hello! We are the Hawkes Family! Our family consists of Jeff (Dad), Kelly (Mom), James (age 4) and Isla (age 6 months). We have moved to Woodbury in October and had our second baby, Isla. As a family we enjoy movie and pizza night on Saturdays, exploring lots of parks and riding our scooters. Our favorite activities at Primrose are playing outside, eating and drawing! We also love celebrating the holidays and birthdays. Reading books is a favorite family activity. We enjoy getting together with friends and family. We’re hoping that life calms down in 2023!
To better meet the individual needs of every child, we’re proud to implement Ages & Stages Questionnaires® (ASQ®-3 and ASQ®:SE-2) in Primrose schools across the country.
Congratulations to our December Apple of Our Eye, Mrs. Standaert! Thank you so much for being so flexible and willing to help out wherever we need you! Your older infant families and students appreciate you so much!

Happy 9-year Anniversary to our Director of Education, Mrs. Taiwo! Thank you SO MUCH for all you do for our school. Our community appreciates your willingness to help, your thoughtfulness and classroom assistance each and every day. We are so lucky to have you as a part of our Primrose Family!
There’s no question that parents want their preschoolers to grasp the basics of colors, numbers and letters to foster a lifetime of learning.
Congratulations to our December Family of the Month, the Tollefson's! We are so happy to celebrate you this month and can't wait to welcome baby to our Primrose Family! "Hello! We are the Tollefsons: Cory, Alli, Zoey (3.5 years), and Max (2 weeks). We moved to Lake Elmo a year and a half ago and have enjoyed getting to know the area- exploring local parks and heading downtown Stillwater for special events and restaurants. Zoey is loving (and learning) being a big sister at home. Outside of school, Zoey enjoys gymnastics and swimming. At school, Zoey loves to use her imagination and play pretend with her friends. She also loves being outside and playing on the playground (even in the snow). Max loves to eat and sleep and will hopefully love sleeping all night long REALLY soon. We love our Primrose teachers and staff and can't wait for Max to join the infants in the Spring."
It might seem odd to think about your preschooler exploring data analysis and algebra.
He’s here! Santa’s here!
It's a fact: children learn better when they are engaged. That's why purposeful play and nurturing guidance from teachers are key components of Balanced Learning. See how this time-tested approach with a strong emphasis on life skills and character development can help your child develop and excel.
Congratulations to our November Apple of Our Eye, Mr. Hamlin! We appreciate you so much and we all know how amazing your food is. Thank you for feeding us each and every day with a smile on your face!

Congratulations to our October Family of the Month, the Modak family! We are so happy to welcome your family back into our Primrose community after a few years away! "Hello! We are the Modak Family: Anup (Dad), Swati (Mom) Avani (Big Sister) & Sanvi (Early Preschool). As a family, we love visiting parks and reading books. Sanvi’s favorite things to do at Primrose are playing with puzzles and building with Legos."
A little magic in the Primrose Patch today. The kiddos planted magic pumpkin seeds last week and just look what’s arrived!
15 years ago on October 20, 2007 we opened the doors at our Primrose School of Woodbury. Countless happy children have crossed our paths since. We are so proud of all we have done to provide a safe, secure and FUN place for children and their families. We celebrated with our friends and ERWIN cookies. Thank you to all who've helped us get this far. If you were once - or are now a Primrose Family please share your photos and an update with us. We'd love to know "where are you now?".
Happy 1 year anniversary to our amazing Ms. Wanna! Thank you so much for all you do for your Pre-Kindergarten families. We all appreciate you so much, and have loved watching you grow here at Primrose!
Congratulations to our October Apple our Eye, Mrs. Snyder! Thank you for being a part of our Primrose family over the years! We appreciate all you do for you Kindergarten families and your coworkers.
Yesterday, Primrose Woodbury was excited to celebrate the first ever National Day of Belongingness. Primrose school teachers do so much more than encourage skills like reading and writing. They help children feel included and valued. Because when children feel that they belong, the effect is powerful. Fostering a sense of belongingness happens every day in Primrose classrooms, and the children have a lot to do with that! By sharing, playing and simply spending time together, children learn to celebrate the ways we are all alike and different. Thank you so all our wonderful families for bringing this day to life. We loved seeing all your special pictures, activities, recipes, etc. come to life!
We are celebrating Mrs. Guertin this month! Not only is she our Apple of Our Eye, but she is also celebrating her 11th anniversary today! Be sure to congratulate her! Thank you so much for all you do Mrs. Guertin. We are so lucky to have you as a part of our amazing Early Preschool team and we love watching you create so many meaningful relationships with your families. We appreciate you!
Happy working parents day to all our amazing Primrose parents! We are so proud to be building relationships with our awesome community, parents and children alike. We appreciate you!
