We planted Magical Peppermints in snow, we talked about all the things that our peppermint can grow to be. It went from flowers, cookies, castles and even pizza! After nap time we saw that our peppermints grew into CANDY CANES! We had so much fun today!
We know that balancing work and family can be tough. We’re grateful for our parents and all they do for their children!
Congratulations to the Barrow Family! Melissa, James, Atticus and the twins Linus and Violet are our Primrose Family of the Month for December 2018. Melissa and James both work outside the home as a purchasing manager and a researcher. They love camping and you have probably seen us pick up the twins from the school on Fridays with a camper attached to our truck in the parking lot. They believe family time is best spent outdoors- if we aren’t camping you can be sure we are playing in the yard with friends or outdoors in general. They have one dog a bichon poodle mix named ChaCha. Some interesting facts about the Barrow Family: They love to travel. The twins' first flight was to Washington DC to celebrate 4th of July when they were 4 months old. Since then, they have been to Nebraska, California, China, Japan, New York, and of course plenty of state parks - Franklin Mountains, Ft Davis, Brazos Bend, Mission Tiejas, McKinney Falls, Mother Neff and Big Bend National Park- and our Primrose backpacks always come with us filled with changes of clothes toys and books to keep everyone happy during travels and hikes. The Barrow Family have been a part of our Primrose Family for about a year. We love the Barrow Family and we are thankful they are part of our Primrose Family. Congratulations!
My name is Kyandra Grant and I am a lead teacher in the Young Toddler classroom. I graduated from Red Oak High School, and attended Stephen F. Austin State University. I have 5 years of young childhood experience. My first experience teaching children came when I was in my freshman year in college, I worked at the early childhood on campus. Teaching at Primrose has been a wonderful experience and I’ve been a member of this team since August of 2017. I enjoy teaching young children because it allows me to work on their hearts and minds. Seeing their faces light up and the enthusiasm they have when they are introduced to something new brings me joy. I am passionate about teaching because I love showing children new things and making a difference in their lives.
Happy Holidays from all of us at Primrose Schools!
It's that time of the year for us to hold our annual Parent's Night Out. This gives you the perfect opportunity to spend a couple of hours out on the town, finish up your Christmas shopping or enjoy a date night, while we take care of your children. This year, it will be held on Friday, December 14th from 6:45pm to 10:00pm. The sign up sheet is on the desk of the front office. The cost for this event is $35 for the first child and $20 for any additional children. We only accept cash for this event as all monies will be divided up among the teachers who will work the night of this event. You can bring your child dressed in their pajamas and we will provide activities, a movie and dinner. Feel free to signup here by joining. Please see a member of the school's leadership team for more details.
Our school will be closed on Monday, December 24th and Tuesday, December 25th. From our Primrose Family to yours, we wish a very Merry Christmas!
What if you were able to take a glimpse into your child’s classroom to see what he ate for lunch, when he needed a diaper change, how long he napped, what he learned and how he’s interacting with his classmates?
In observance of New Year's, our school will close at 3:00 pm on New Year's Eve, December 31st, and will be closed on New Year's Day, January 1st. We wish you a safe and happy New Year's!

It’s no secret – we live in a world increasingly dependent on technology.
We know that juggling work and parenthood is tough.
As parents, we often go back and forth on how we feel about dressing our preschooler.
