Let’s get to know each other! I’m Maria Carrizosa and I wanted to tell you a little about myself. My hometown is Valencia, Venezuela. I have a Masters in counseling and a BA in education. My favorite food is Mediterranean and my favorite children’s book is Pete the Cat. I have been in childcare for over 17years. You see, at Primrose Schools we’re more than a team of professional teachers and child care education specialists. We’re also a family, and we care for every child as though he or she was our own. And like your home, our school provides a secure, nurturing environment that fosters self-discovery and a love of learning. II can’t wait to learn more about you and your family.
Congratulations to our family of the month, the Maddox’s! Jennifer works at GM Financial as a Funding Process Manager and Chris works as a supervisor for Child Protective Services and is also a 1st Lieutenant in the Army Reserves. The Maddox family enjoys Dallas Stars hockey, going to the movie theater, swimming in their pool in the summer time and doing their best to get Fiona to laugh. They love shopping and spending time walking around talking and trying new restaurants together. They like to playfully tease each other and challenge each other to do better. They have three pets; a Chihuahua named Tank, a Pomeranian named Tuffy and a cat named Boo. The Maddox family has been with Primrose for about seven months. We are just a regular family that loves each other and we love our crazy life together. We are so happy you are our April Family of the Month!

My daughter was a slow-to-warm-up baby and a well-behaved toddler. She never hit or pushed, but instead used her words — like the time she famously told me at age three, “Mommy, I don’t like the choices you’re choicing me.”
Play is a crucial part of the social, emotional and imaginative development of young children, but not all play is created equal!
Now if only they would stop drawing on the walls...
