Primrose School would love to meet your family.
Contact UsThe Gillies and Rolfsen families welcome you to the Primrose School of Round Rock. Our family became interested in Primrose Schools through the great education and experiences Lauren and Payton Gillies both shared at the Primrose School of Round Rock. Impressed by the quality of education Primrose provides and recognizing the importance of early childhood education, our family is excited for the opportunity to be a part of Primrose and play a role in shaping the lives of children and families in the Austin area.
Jerry Gilles, father of Lauren and Payton, has worked in leadership positions in the financial service industry for over 25 years, most recently 17 years with Dell Financial Services. He leads operations of the Round Rock school.
Chris and Shannan Rolfsen have a son Callen and a daughter Aubri who both attend Primrose. Chris comes from a 15 year career in Business Operations with Motorola/Freescale. He leads operations for the Primrose School of Dripping Springs. Chris also served on the Primrose Advisory Council representing the best interests for Franchise Owners and their schools.
The schools feature the exclusive Balanced Learning® program for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. Developed by and taught exclusively at Primrose Schools, Balanced Learning blends teacher-directed and child-initiated activities with a special emphasis on character development in the schools.
Our Balanced Learning approach to child care makes us different than an ordinary Round Rock daycare. Right down the road from Pepper Rock Park and Great Oaks Elementary School, we are conveniently located on Great Oaks Drive.

Fostering a sense of belongingness has been a part of every day at Primrose for the past 40 years, and we’re excited to invite all families, from Primrose and beyond, to join in as we celebrate the annual National Day of Belongingness on September 29.
We are currently hiring full and part time staff to be part of our team!
Try these easy at-home activities to promote character and social growth that will help children celebrate their similarities and differences, and help create connections with others.
To better meet the individual needs of every child, we’re proud to implement Ages & Stages Questionnaires® (ASQ®-3 and ASQ®:SE-2) in Primrose schools across the country.
Each Primrose school is held to high standards of safety and cleanliness while maintaining a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
There’s no question that parents want their preschoolers to grasp the basics of colors, numbers and letters to foster a lifetime of learning.
It might seem odd to think about your preschooler exploring data analysis and algebra.
It's a fact: children learn better when they are engaged. That's why purposeful play and nurturing guidance from teachers are key components of Balanced Learning. See how this time-tested approach with a strong emphasis on life skills and character development can help your child develop and excel.
