Our teachers and caregivers are trained, ready and excited to help spark lightbulb moments for your child. We invite you to visit and see our Balanced Learning approach in action
Hi, My name is Kimberly Wilson and my husband is David . We have many reasons why we chose to become Primrose School franchisees. David was in the corporate world for 21 years, travelling and moving our family around the country. I have also traveled with my job as an International Flight Attendant for the past 36 years. As parents of three children Delanie (23 yrs.), Dolan (19 yrs.), and Drake (17 yrs.), we both wanted more family time and a place to permanently call our home. When David was transferred from Atlanta 17 yrs. ago to the Birmingham area we knew we had found that place. Our goal then was to find something we could do together. We were familiar with the Primrose brand and were very excited when we found out that Primrose Schools was looking to expand in our area. When we were fortunate enough to secure the parcel of land in Helena, Alabama, we were confident that this was the perfect fit for us and our family. We believe that the key to academic success is a strong preschool education. The balanced curriculum that Primrose Schools offer provides this educational experience. We are extremely excited to have the opportunity to share the Primrose difference with the children and parents of the Helena, Alabama community. Please come visit us at Primrose School of Riverwoods.
We are conveniently located on Riverwoods Ct, a short drive down the road from The Hillsboro School and ten minutes from Helena Elementary School. Unlike an ordinary daycare in Helena we provide your child with a robust early education and child care experience.

At Primrose, your child will get more than an infant daycare experience. Our teachers help your child develop and grow, building one skill upon another, which is why we are the leader in infant child care.
Fostering a sense of belongingness has been a part of every day at Primrose for the past 40 years, and we’re excited to invite all families, from Primrose and beyond, to join in as we celebrate the annual National Day of Belongingness on September 29.
Try these easy at-home activities to promote character and social growth that will help children celebrate their similarities and differences, and help create connections with others.
To better meet the individual needs of every child, we’re proud to implement Ages & Stages Questionnaires® (ASQ®-3 and ASQ®:SE-2) in Primrose schools across the country.

Each Primrose school is held to high standards of safety and cleanliness while maintaining a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
There’s no question that parents want their preschoolers to grasp the basics of colors, numbers and letters to foster a lifetime of learning.
It might seem odd to think about your preschooler exploring data analysis and algebra.
It's a fact: children learn better when they are engaged. That's why purposeful play and nurturing guidance from teachers are key components of Balanced Learning. See how this time-tested approach with a strong emphasis on life skills and character development can help your child develop and excel.
