Primrose School of North Naples

My name is Jamie Essig, and my husband Chris and I are the proud owners of Primrose School of North Naples and Primrose School of Estero. Passionate about providing children with a high-quality educational experience, we were excited to bring our first Primrose School to the North Naples community. We’ve seen firsthand the incredible results of Primrose Schools and its emphasis on a balanced learning approach through our niece who attended a Primrose in Denver. We were blown away by her intellectual development and social interactions after only six months at Primrose Schools. We were incredibly impressed with the unmatched curriculum and teaching method of Primrose Schools. We quickly became passionate and avid supporters of the brand and its dedication to partnering with parents to set children up for success in school and in life.

Our Primrose journey began shortly before we welcomed our beautiful daughter Chloe into our lives. We were underwhelmed with our options for childcare in our hometown in Upstate New York. I had hoped to find something similar to Primrose. Being that Chris is from a family of entrepreneurs, he ran with the idea that I had about opening our own Primrose School. I swiftly changed my career path after practicing Physical Therapy for the last 10 years. We moved to Naples in November of 2013 and opened Primrose School of North Naples in March of 2014. Shortly, after that we welcomed our son Bentley in August of 2014.

I have earned an Advanced Director Credential as well as a VPK Endorsed Director Credential from the Florida Department of Children and Families. We began an in-depth self-study assessment of all aspects of our program, including administrative review, classroom observation, staff and family surveys and professional development plans in preparation for a validation visit from the National Accreditation Commission for Early Care and Education. We were awarded NAC accreditation in November of 2015. To further distinguish and validate our quality programming we pursued the most prestigious global accrediting organization, AdvancED (now Cognia). We earned AdvancED accreditation in June of 2016. Accreditation recognizes education providers that demonstrate and sustain their commitments to continuous improvement and better learner outcomes. We have had the honor and privilege to open our second school, Primrose School of Estero in August of 2019.

Both Bentley (6) and Chloe (8) have attended our schools and continue to participate in our afterschool and summer camp programs. They have also developed a passion for early education and can often be found assisting at our school events. Chloe enjoys golf, baseball, basketball, tennis, and swimming. Bentley enjoys riding his bike, swimming, and cleaning.

Together with our Primrose families and staff we have contributed to local charities such as Make-A-Wish SWFL, Cancer Alliance of Naples, JDRF, Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples, March of Dimes, Grace Place for Children & Families, Harry Chapin Food Bank, The Guadalupe Center, Hurricane Relief Programs, and The Golisano Children’s Hospital of SWFL. Chris is an active board member at the Golisano Children’s Museum.

We are devoted to providing children with a solid foundation to excel in the future. We understand the importance of instilling a love of learning throughout a child’s early years, and we believe this is essential to building a new generation of bright citizens.
