Health & Safety Practices in Place

  • Drop-off and pick-up at classroom doors
  • One-way traffic for drop-off and pick-up: congregation of families is not allowed in front of door.
  • Touch-less check-in and check-out
  • Facial covering (masks) recommended for all teachers and staff, and all parents / guardians who interact with staff during drop-off and pick-up
  • Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever-free symptom-free for at least 48 hours

Handwashing routines in overdrive:

  • Frequent hand-washing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
  • Training teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind

Disinfecting and Sanitizing:

  • Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
  • Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys
  • Daily sanitizing of high-touch surfaces - door handles, push bars, light switches, phone surfaces, elevator buttons, handrails
  • Diaper-changing tables sanitized after each use
  • Cleaning company sanitizes floors, door handles, faucets, sinks, toilets every night

Physical Distancing:

  • Teachers and staff encouraged to keep physical distance of at least 6 feet from each other
  • Children encouraged to play outside while keeping physical distancing, 6 feet apart when possible
  • During drop-off and pick-up, parents / guardians encouraged to maintain physical distance of at least 6 feet from those not in their immediate household
  • Usage of facial covering (over mouth and nose) is strongly encouraged for adults with cough, cold, flu or other respiratory symptoms on the school campus

Special:

  • Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
  • Maintaining an up-to-date and customized Safe School Plan posted in all classrooms for easy teacher access
