As a part of our Summer Adventure Club, our Explorers are focusing on how to, 'Get Ready Get Safe'! Being scared is a natural emotion when there is an emergency. Reminding and reassuring the children that during an emergency, caring adults, including first responders, will be working to keep them safe. During this unit, the children not only talk about what to do when we are frightened during emergencies but also how being prepared before an emergency happens can make you feel less frightened. Being prepared makes you feel safe! Thank you Lakeway Fire Department, APD, LPD, and the K-9 Unit, for reassuring our kids know how to stay safe!
