Primrose School of Hickory Creek

The health and safety of our staff and the children entrusted to our care is our top priority. We are proud to maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness while maintaining a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

Health & Safety Practices in Place

  • Rigorous exclusion policies for students showing illness symptoms, requiring students and/or staff to obtain a physician’s note and/or negative COVID-19 test result in order to return (depending on circumstances).
  • Temperature checks for all children and staff upon arrival
  • Limiting the people who enter the building to current team members and other authorized personnel (i.e. State Licensing, law enforcement, etc.). New families offered virtual tours and accommodations to meet the staff outside of the building wearing masks and social distanced. Parent-teacher conferences are virtual, and enhanced daily communication sent thru our parent portal (Procare)
  • Touchless check-in system and external drop-off and pick-up of children
  • All staff members are required to wear masks indoors
  • Limited combining of classrooms in addition to low Primrose student-teacher ratios
  • Increased frequency of hand washing & frequent disinfecting of high-touch surfaces and toys
  • Regular disinfecting of high-touch surfaces on playground equipment
  • Daily professional cleaning in addition to staff cleaning protocols implemented. Professional deep cleaning services also completed regularly, and always following positive CV-19 case
  • Suspending family-style dining
  • Substituting field trips with virtual learning experiences and/or outdoor socially distanced activities
  • Posting of all student and staff symptoms of illness for viewing during drop-off and/or pick-up
  • Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
  • No personal items transferred between home and school (backpacks stay at school)
  • No in-person large group gatherings for staff members; annual required training completed virtually. Additional health and safety training related to COVID-19 required for all staff
  • Accurate, honest, & transparent communication regarding positive COVID-19 tests
